HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-169RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR TO SIGN BENEFIT RELATED DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the County of Butte offers a variety of benefits to its Regular Help employees, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long term disability, flexible/dependent spending accounts, and employee assistance program; and WHEREAS, various plan related documents need to be reviewed and signed prior to the start of the 2023 plan year; and WHEREAS, each June CalPERS publishes the rates for the folliowing plan year. The Plan Rates for 2023 represent an average overall premium, increase of 15 percent for Anthem Blue Cross PPO plans. The Blue Shield HMO did see a decrease in premiums of 7.2 percent. Individual plan rates vary; and WHEREAS, each August Teamsters (Delta Health Systems) publish the rates for the following plan year. The plan rates for 2023 represent an average overall increase of 2.0 percent. Individual plan rates vary, however for 2023 both plans were increased; and WHEREAS, Delta Dentall is the County's carrier for dental plans, the 2023 rates will decrease 2.0 percent compared to the 2022 rates. Individual plan rates vary; and WHEREAS, Vision Service Plan, MetLife, WEX flexible spending accounts, and the Employees Assistance Program, the rates will remain unchanged for the, plan year 2023 when compared to rates in 2022; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorize the Human Resources Director to sign any and alll benefit related documents for the 2023 plan year on behalf of the County of Butte. vote: PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this B`" day of November, 2022, by the following AYES: Supervisors Ritter, Kimmelshue, Teeter and Chair Connelly NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None ATTEST: Andy Pickett, Chief Administrative Officer and Clerj of the Board of ervlsckrs BY: Deputy Bill Connelly, Chair Butte County Board of Supervisors
