UPON RETIREMENT FROM
WHEREAS, Dr. Margarita Lema Behavioral Health Psychiatrist with the Department ofBehavioral Health has
announced her retirement effective December 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Lama began her career with Behavioral Health in August of 20015, serving as one of our
te0uredpoycWatrists.Ouhngthisdrne,Dr.Lemahasdadioatedhereffortsandknoyv|edgetosuppVrtiogymuththmmughout
our community. She has worked mainly out of the Chico Community Counseling Center location, but has also provided
coverage and assistance to our other youth centers as the need has risen. Since 20,20, Dr. Lema has served asour interim
Medical Director, providing needed assistance, leadership, and support, to, the Department of Behavioral Health; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Lema has devoted her career to improving the lives of children and families aind has taken great
pride in her job as a publi�c servant conducting herself with the highest level of integrity and responsibility; and
WHEREAS, aoaBehavioral Health Psychiatrist, Dr. Lemadedicated herself 10providing excellent customnerservice
to staff, clients and their families, and valued the role of providing high quality care, medical education, and psychiatric
services; and
WHEREAS, Dc Lema has worked diligently for the past 17 years in the best interest of Butte County and its
residents, earning the respect of her colleagues, employees, other County departments,community stakeholders and the
many clients she has served over the years.
YVOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby extends its appre�iation
for 17 years of dedicated service.
