HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors, is the governing, body of the Butte County Operational Area;
and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte recognizes the need to participate in programs that enhance the preparedness of
local response agencies to the threat of terrorism and all hazards natural or man-made; and
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2022 Homeland Security Grant Program will provide non-matching funds for emergency
prevention, preparedness, response to and recovery from threats and incidents of terrorism and all hazards natural or
manmade; and
WHEREAS, the resources provided bythe grant will meet the stated goals ofthe Butte County Disaster Council,
which represents the incorporated and unincorporated jurisdictions ofButte County.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Deputy Administrative Officer— (}Mice of Emergency
Management shall apply for the funds available from the Fiscal Year 2022 Homeland Security Grant Program; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative Officer, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, and Deputy
Administrative officers are authorized to execute for and on behalf ofthe nonmed appUcamt, m public entity established
under the laws ofthe State of California, any actions necessary for the purpose of ob�aining, federal financial assistance
provided by the Federal Department of Homeland Security and sub -granted through the State of California,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 13'�' day of December, 2022, by the following
