TO TH�E GRIZZLY CREEK COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC.
WHEREAS, the County of Butte ("County") is owner in Fee of the real property together with any appurtenances
thereto and located thereon, identified as Assessor's parcel numbers 073-230-040-000 and 073-230-042-000 with a street
address of 12139 LaPorte Road, Clipper Mills, California 9593O/°Prupertv"\;and
WHEREAS, the Property was donated to the County via a Grant Deed from the Clipper Mills Volunteer Fine
Department in May of 1983, with the intent to operate as the Clipper Mills Fire Station 53; and
WHEREAS, the Property islacking a sufficient potable water source and |ssuffering from deferred maintenance;
and the County lacks sufficient funds for a comprehensive maintenance and repair program for the Property; and
WHEREAS, the Grizzly Creek Community Sem/ices, Inc., a California Non-profit Public Benefit Corporation,
(°GCC5~), submitted e letter ofintent tothe County stating their interest in, acquiring the Property for the purpose of
raising funds and implementing acomprehensive repairaodmaintenance program boensure the Property remains aviable
tobenefit the Clipper Mills community asaFire Station; and
WHEREAS, inthe best interest ofthe citizens ofthe Clipper Mills Community and the County ofButte, the Butte
County Board of Supervisors has determined that the Property is surplus to the needs of the County, desires to convey
the Property to the GCCS, "As is, Where is" for $I.00 plus all of the costs of conveyance, and as a creclittgwvards a
comprehensive repair and maintenance program for the Property, shall deposit to Mid Valley Title and Escrow Company
acheck for $3O,0QO.80;and

NOW, THEREFORE, BEU[RESOLVED that the 8uitteCounty Board ofSupervisors hereby
1. Declare the Property surplus tmthe needs ofthe County.
3. Approve the conveyance mf the Property tothe GCCS,pursuant boCalifornia Government Code Section
25365/a\,upon the price and terms stated inthe conveyance docunment.
3. Authorize the Director, General Services to execute all documents necessary to facilitate the conveyance.
