HomeMy WebLinkAbout23-029RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE GRANT OF A NON-EXCLUSIVE EASEMENT FOR UNDERGROUND UTILITY LINE
PURPOSES AFFECTING COUNTY OWNED REAL PROPERTY IN PARADISE
WHEREAS, the County of Butte ("County") owns real property identified as Assessor's parcel number 052-080-
094, commonly known as 6550 Skyway, 6626 Skyway and 747 Elliott Road in Paradise, California ("Property"); and
WHEREAS, Pacific Gas and Electric Company ("PG&E") is working to restore safe and reliable electric, gas, and
communication service ("Project") to the areas impacted by the 2018 Camp Fire; and
WHEREAS, the Project on a portion of the Property is complete, therefore PG&E requires that the County grant a
non-exclusive easement with rights, of ingress and egress to the easement area as depicted on Exhibit A and Exhibit B in
the Easement Deed; and
WHEREAS, consistent with the direction that the Department of General Services received from the Butte County
Board of Supervisors on July 20, 2021, the County worked with PG&E to develop an easement area on the Property that
is limited to what is necessary for future access and maintenance; and
vote:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby:
1. Approve the conveyance of non-exclusive real property easement rights over a portion of County
owned real property to PG&E.
2. Authorize the Director of General Services to execute any and all documents necessary to facilitate
the conveyance including the Easement Deed.
