Alternative Site Analysis
The following map shows the vicinity surrounding the proposed facility, and the red
circle marks the site’s “search ring” which indicates the area in which a deficit in
coverage was detected. We investigated two alternative sites within the search ring. At
one site, the landlord was interested, however, the land is currently being used as a
conservation easement. The allowable location will compromise the intended services in
the desired coverage area and fail to support the residential area closer to Lower Honcut
Road. At the second site, the location is south of the ring and further away from the
intended coverage objective. The property where Vertical Bridge proposes to locate is
one of the only spaces available that will meet the footprint requirements of the project.
Additionally, Vertical Bridge received the landlord 's permission to pursue this project on
their property. The county's setbacks and maximum height requirements are also
adequately met on this parcel. It is for these reasons that Vertical Bridge is locating on
the subject property and not on any other parcels within the search ring.

Alternative Candidates Considered
APN: 028-030-009 - This parcel was considered as a possible option that will meet the project’s
coverage needs and the property owner was contacted to inquire about potential interest in the
project. Ultimately, Vertical Bridge could not move forward with this candidate because the land
is currently being used as a conservation easement. The allowable location will compromise the
intended services in the desired coverage area and fail to support the residential area closer to
Lower Honcut Road.
APN: 028-030-045 - This parcel was considered as a possible option that will meet the project’s
coverage needs and the property owner was contacted to inquire about potential interest in the
project. Ultimately, Vertical Bridge could not move forward with this candidate because the site
is outside of the search ring and further away from the intended coverage objective.
