WHEREAS, Sherri Lee, Supervisor, Assessment Office, retired on November 30, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Sherri Lem began her career in the Butte County Assessor's Office om November 12, 19,85 as an Extra
Help Typist Clerk 1, and became a permanent employee on January 24, 1986, holding various clerical positions, becoming
atitle transfer expert, training others, and promoting tmAssessment Clerk onApril 12, 1991; and
WHEREAS, Sherri Lee developed, codified, and streamlined transfer procedures, promoted LoAssessment Clerk U
and Ill, continued to train new employees and update transfer procedures as the tax laws changed; and
WHEREAS, Sherri Lee was promoted to Supervisor, Assessment Clerk om Decemiber 18 3004 and with, her
knowledge of the n8eAabvte Property Tax System, trained employees in keying, values, processing roll conection� and
prorating supplement assessments; and
WHEREAS, Sherri Lee used her vast knowledge of the entire assessment process to make her a valuable resource
for the Assessor's Office, other departments, attorneys, and the public; and
WHEREAS, Sherri Lee was promoted tmSupervisor, Assessment Office on August 2, 2014, transitioned into her
new assignment with diligence and professionalism, mastering the budget process, contracts, hiring, and accounts
payable, while sustaining aconstructive, empowering nmanogementstyle
NOW, THEREFORE, BE[TRESOLVED that the Butte County Board mf Supervisors hereby wishes toexpress toSherri
Lee sincere appreciation for her thirty-six years and ten months of dedicated service to the residents of the County of
Butte, and further wish her well onher retirement.
