RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF254COHASSETROAD, CH|0O FROM WEST COAST PROPERTIES, LbC
WHEREAS, the Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) currently operates it's Chico Community Counseling Center
from a leased facility located at 109 Parmac Road in Chico, California and has long planned torelocate inorder Lo expand
Chico services; and
WHEREAS, the Department ofGeneral Services (0BS)incoordination with DBHeva|uated available commercial
properties in Chico and selected 254 Cohasset Road in Chico, California, Assessors Parcel Number 006-250-023 (Property),
based onthe size, location, cost and condition, toown inFee; and
WHEREAS, VnMay 24,Z023 DBH and DGS met with the Board of Supervisors in closed session met and authorized
the Director of DGS to negotiate the acquisition of the Property; and
WHEREAS, upon the conclusion ofthe due diligence, DGS has determined that the Property will meet the needs
ofthe County; and
WHEREAS, the specific terms and conditions of the acquisition of the Property for a purchase price of two million,
seven hundred thousand dollars and no cents ($2,700000) plus title and escrow fees, is contained in the Purchase
Agreement (County contract X24885) between West Coast Properties, LLC, asSeller and the County ofButte, as Buyer;
and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby find that it is the best
interest of the County to approve the acquisition of the Property and authorize the Department of General Services
Director, on behalf Vfthe County and Board, to execute any and all documents necessary to effectuate the acquisition
and recordation of any Deeds, including the related Certificate of Acceptance
