Subject: Approval of Certificate of Merger (MER23-0007); APN 062-170-038.
Dear Applicants:
On July 5, 2023, the Department of Development Services made the finding that the Certificate of
Merger on the above referenced properties is exempt from environmental review, and approved
the project. Please note that the Owner’s Certificate and Notary Statement (original), and the
Approved Certificate of Merger (original) will be available for pickup at our offices. The original
legal description, corrected from the initially submitted and subsequently corrected version, that
matches the copy included will need to be provided to the Clerk Recorder’s Office.
Please allow ten (10) days from the approval date, which falls on (Monday, July 17, 2023) before
you record the merger. You will pick up the signed Certificate of Merger, approved Legal
Description, and Owner’s Certificates for Lori and Sean Pierce at our offices located at 7 County
Center Drive, Oroville, between the hours of 8-4 Monday through Friday, except for Wednesdays,
when we are open 8-3.
A Clerk Recording Fee made out to “Butte County” is due when you record your certificate of
merger at the Clerk Recorder’s Office located at 155 Nelson Avenue, Oroville. Please let me know
when you record the Certificate of Merger.
Should you choose to appeal the decision of the Department of Development Services, please
submit your appeal, in writing, to the Department of Development Services, 7 County Center
Drive, Oroville, California 95965, prior to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14th, 2023.
