WHEREAS, Pine Grove Youth Conservation, Camp (hereinafter "PGYCC") has operated since 1945,
providing rehabilitation and re-entry services to participants through therapy, training and teamwork. The
program is designed to help participants transition successfully to the community upon discharge, with
mentors and life coaches connecting with participants through treatment programs that address childhood
trauma using education, individual mentorship, and group therapy; and
WHEREAS, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (hereinafter "CDCR") jointly
operates, PGYCC to provide services to participants, age 18 or above, who are transferred to PGYCC. Services
include housing, care and fire -fighting training; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Probation Department desires to contract with CDCR to provide PGYCC
Services for housing, care and training of County youthful offenders for Fire Camp; and
WHEREAS, the maximum amount of the agreement is $41,180; and
WHEREAS, the term; of the agreement shall be DATE OF EXECUTION through June 30, 2025;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Chairperson of said Board be and hereby is authorized to sign
and execute said contract on behalf of the Butte County Probation Department, including any amendments
thereof,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte Couinty Board of Supervisors this 27th day of June, 2023 by the
following vote:
