Dear Mr. Raynal,
Thank you for reaching out about the lower Miocene Canal. PG&E has ceased using the canal for
water deliveries after the Middle Miocene was destroyed in 2018. We have announced that we
intend on not restoring the Middle Miocene and will start work on a decommissioning plan for the
Miocene Canal.
