Resolution No. 23-102
RESOLUTION FOR DISSOLVING A REVOLVING FUND FOR DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte have determined that for the efficient
operation of Department of Public Health to establish a revolving fund for their Tobacco Education Team to
conduct decoy operations;
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors established such a Revolving Fund in the amount of $250.00 on
May 11, 2021 under Resolution No. 21-063 pursuant to California Government Code Section 29430 et seq. ;
and
WHEREAS, the fund was established for the decoy operations under the Stop Tobacco Access to Kids
Enforcement (STAKE) grant which terminated June 30,2023; and
WHEREAS, an analysis performed by the Butte County Auditor -Controller's Office for the request to
dissolve a Revolving Fund for Department of Public Health has been approved and recommended; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, as follows:
That there is determined to be a necessity to dissolve a Revolving Fund of $250.00 within the
Department of Public Health due to the termination of the Stake grant effective June 30, 2023.
2. That this Fund is established and dissolved in accordance with Section 29430 et seq. of the
Government Code of the State of California, and that certified copies of this Resolution shall be
transmitted to the County Auditor -Controller and County Department of Public Health.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of September 2023 by the Butte County Board of Supervisors by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Durfee, Ritter, and Chair Kimmelshue
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Teeter
ABSTAIN: None
