HomeMy WebLinkAbout23-113BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF "I I in Resolution No. 23-113 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR SPECIAL DISTRICTS UNDER CONTROL OF THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 7910, DIVISION 9 OF THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE WHEREAS, Article XIII-B of the California Constitution provides that local governments must establish annual appropriation limits pursuant to said Article; and WHEREAS, Section 7910, Division 9, of the Government Code, provides that the governing body of each local jurisdiction shall, by resolution, establish its appropriations limit for the following year at a regularly scheduled meeting; and WHEREAS, the Auditor -Controller has calculated the Butte County appropriations limit for the applicable special districts to be the amounts shown on Attachment A for fiscal year 2023-2024; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby establishes the appropriations limit for Special Districts under control of the Board of Supervisors of Butte County to be the amount shown on Attachment A for fiscal year 2023-2024; and FURTHER, that said appropriation limit, and the determination thereof are in compliance with Article XIII-B of the California Constitution. vote: PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 101h day of October, 2023, by the following AYES: Supervisor Connelly, Durfee, Ritter, Teeter and Chair Kimmelshue NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING: None ATTEST: Maximo A. Pickett, Chief Administrative Officer and Clerk of the Board of Supervisors By:—) Deputy Tod Kimmelshue, Chair Butte CourAy Board of Supervisors Attachment A COUNTY OF BUTTE SPECIAL DISTRICTS UNDER CONTROL OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS 2023-2024 APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT CALCULATION The 2023-2024 Appropriation Limit for the following special districts was computed by factoring the 2022-2023 limit, modified pursuant to the changes in Article XIII B made by Proposition 111, by the estimated increases in the California per capita personal income and population as presented to Butte County by the State Department of Finance. 2023-2024 Appropriations Special District Description Limit CSA #4 Sierra Del Oro Drainage 250,515 CSA#12 Stirling City Lighting 4,153 CSA#17 So.
