COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNI
Resolution No. 23-116
RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF RAYMOND VALVERDE UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM
BUTTE COUNTY GENERAL SERVICES.
WHEREAS, Raymond Valverde, Custodian with Butte County Department of General Services, has announced his
retirement to be effective September 29, 2023 after 17 years and 8 months of service; and
WHEREAS, Raymond began his career with the County of Butte on December 315Y, 2005 as a Janitor, the position
more recently renamed as Custodian. Raymond excels at customer service, befriending all he is in contact with.
Raymond is enthusiastic, energetic, leads by example, and always displays a positive attitude. Raymond has a stellar
working relationship with colleagues, staff and public contacts in the Veterans Halls which he diligently cares for; and
WHEREAS, Raymond has been an integral part of the General Services Custodial team, and the Department
overall. Raymond can be counted on to participate in, and often win, every Department spirit event. We hope that
Raymond is very proud of everything that he has accomplished and the impression he has made on others during his
time with the County; and
WHEREAS, for the reasons stated above and for many more, too numerous to express, Raymond is a valued
member of General Services, and the County, and will be sorely missed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby extends its appreciation
for 17 years of dedicated service.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 10th day of October, 2023, by the following
vote:
AYES: Supervisor Connelly, Durfee, Ritter, Teeter and Chair Kimmelshue
NOES: None
