Resolution No. 23-139
FIRE PROTECTION AND SAFETY PROGRAM
WHEREAS, by the Board of Supervisors County of Butte, that said Board does hereby approve the agreement with
the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) dated July 1, 2023. This agreement provides Fire
hazard inspections, community education, prevention, and abatement for FY 2023-2024 through Fiscal year 2024-2025 or
until settlement funds are exhausted; and
WHEREAS, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby is authorized to sign and execute said agreement
on behalf of the County of Butte.; and
WHEREAS, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby adopts the resolution and authorizes Chair to sign;
WHEREAS, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorize Capital Asset Purchase and approves a
budget adjustment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby desire to enter into
agreement with CAL FIRE, approve budget adjustment and capital asset purchase in support of the Fire Prevention &
Safety Program.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 7th day of November, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisor Connelly, Durfee, Ritter, Teeter and Chair Kimmelshue
