Resolution No. 23-145
RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023 EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE GRANT
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the Butte County Operational Area;
and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte recognizes the need to participate in programs that enhance the overall mitigation,
preparedness, response and recovery capabilities of local emergency response agencies from natural and manmade
hazards: and
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2023 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program will provide up to
$164,901.00 in funds to support activities that contribute to the mitigation, prevention, preparation, response and
recovery from emergencies and disasters, whether natural or man-made; and
WHEREAS, the resources provided by the grant will meet the stated goals of the Butte County Disaster Council,
which represents the incorporated and unincorporated jurisdictions of Butte County.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Butte County Office of Emergency Management shall apply
for the funds available from the Fiscal Year 2023 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative Officer, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer and the
Deputy Administrative Officers of Butte County are hereby designated as authorized representatives of the County of
Butte for the purpose of receipt, processing, and coordination of all inquiries and requirements necessary to obtain the
assistance provided by the Fiscal Year 2023 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program.
