RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF DEBORAH HEATH UPON HER RETIREMENT FROM
THE BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, Debbie Heath, Senior Contracts/Procurement Agent with Butte County Department of General
Services, has announced her retirement effective December 30, 2023 after 22 years of service; and
WHEREAS, Debbie began her career with the County of Butte on December 18th, 2001 as an Account Clerk with
the Auditor's Office, moving to General Services in 2008. Debbie has dedicated herself to providing excellent customer
service and has taken great pride in her work, conducting herself with the highest level of integrity. Debbie has a
magnificent working relationship with her colleagues and the staff within the Departments for which she acts as liaison.
WHEREAS, Debbie played an integral role in the County's Emergency Operations Center (EOC), serving hundreds
of hours in the EOC, and as the primary Logistics Chief for the past seven years. Through the Camp Fire event, General
Services did not see Debbie at all for the first six months, then only occasionally through the next six. Debbie's dedication
to service in support of emergency response and recovery is commendable and so greatly appreciated; and
WHEREAS, Debbie has been an indispensable part of the General Services Contracts/Procurement team, and the
Department overall. We hope Debbie is very proud of everything she has accomplished and the impression she has made
on others. Debbie has worked diligently for the past 22 years in the best interest of the County and for the reasons stated
above and many more, too numerous to express, Debbie will be sorely missed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby expresses its sincere
appreciation for 22 years of dedication and outstanding service.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 12th day of December 2023, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisor Connelly, Durfee, Ritter, Teeter and Chair Kimmelshue
