Thank you for submitting permits for your building project. The permit documents have been reviewed and
comments are listed below. Please respond in writing to each comment. Complete and clear responses will
expedite the re-check and approval of this project. Please provide two complete revised plan sets with your
response, or submit electronically directly to the Permit Center at dsbuilding@buttecounty.net. For large
electronic files, please resubmit to http://ushare.buttecounty.net/filedrop/DSBuilding@buttecounty.net.
GENERAL COMMENTS by: Plans Examiner
1. Please respond in writing to each comment by marking this comment list or creating a response letter.
Indicate which detail, specification, or calculation shows the requested information.
2. Plan changes shall be billed on time spent basis.
3. Add the following Code references on the electrical plan.
A. 2022 Calif. Electrical Code
B. 2022 California Energy Code
ELECTRICAL COMMENTS
4. On the plans, provide the location of the electric meter, main service panel, sub panels, and disconnects. Also,
indicate their size in amps.
5. Amend the plans to show that all 125-volt and 250-volt single-phase, 15 & 20-ampere receptacles in the
locations specified shall have (GFCI) ground-fault circuit-interrupter protection for personnel. C.E.C. Article
210.8(A).
A. Garages, and also accessory buildings that have a floor located at or below grade level not intended as
habitable rooms and limited to storage areas, work areas and areas of similar use..
B. Outdoors
6. Amend the plans to show for detached garages with electric power, at least one wall switch-controlled
lighting outlet shall be installed to provide illumination on the exterior side of outdoor entrances or exits with
grade level access. C.E.C. Article 210-70(A)(2)(b).
7. Note on the plans electrical sub-panels grounding shall comply with C.E.C. Article 250-32. Provide separate
grounding wire to each panel from main electrical service entrance panel.
8. Provide a grounding electrode system per C.E.C. Article 250.50.
9. Show how the metal building will be grounded/bonded per CEC Article 250.104
10. Amend the plans to show that all non-locking type 125-volt and 250-volt, 15 and 20 amp receptacles in the
dwelling shall be tamper-resistant. C.E.C. Article 406.12(A).
11. Note on the plans that all luminaries located in wet locations shall be marked, "suitable for wet locations" and all
luminaries located in damp locations shall be marked, "suitable for damp locations." C.E.C. Article 410.10(A).
ENERGY COMMENTS
12. Note on the plans that at least one light in garage to be on vacancy sensors or occupancy sensors.
13. Note on the plans outdoor lighting is to be:
A. High efficacy luminaries; and
B. Controlled by a manual ON and OFF switch that permits the automatic functions below; and
1. Controlled by a photocell and either a motion sensor or asn automatic time switch control; or
2. Controlled by an astronomical time clock control, or
3. An energy management control system (EMCS).
