Subject: Approval of Merger Certificate (MER23-0012); 035-226-005 & 006
Dear Craig Johnson,
On January 16, 2024, the Department of Development Services found that the Certificate of Merger on
the above-referenced property is exempt from environmental review and approved the project.
Please allow ten days from the approval date, which falls on Friday, January 26, 2024, before you
record the Certificate of Merger at the Clerk Recorder’s Office.
You will record the following:
• Certificate of Merger – with Wet Signature
• Owner’s Certificate
• Legal Description and Plat
You can pick up the original documents any time after Friday, January 26, 2024.
A Clerk Recording Fee (approximately $30) is due when you record your certificate of merger at the
Clerk Recorder’s Office located at 155 Nelson Avenue, Oroville. Once you record the merger, please
provide a copy of the recorded document to the Planning Division for the merger to take effect or wait
for final approval when the Clerk Recorder’s Office posts the merger recordation on their website.
Should you choose to appeal the decision of the Dept. of Development Services to the Planning
Commission, please submit your appeal, in writing, together with the appeal fee of $797.97, to the
Department of Development Services, 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, California 95965, before 4:00
p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.
