Subject: FW: Sacramento River Forum Update
Dear Butte County Board of Supervisors:
Recently the Sacramento River Forum Board of Directors voted to update and revise our
organization’s bylaws regarding several items. One item of note is the selection and
appointment of our organization’s Board of Directors.
After consulting with our attorney, it was deemed more appropriate for the Sacramento
River Forum, an independent private, nonprofit organization, to select its own board
members.
This process was instituted after ratification of the updated bylaws at our December 15,
2022 meeting.
However, this does not preclude your Board from being involved in the process. We
continue to welcome any suggestions or nominations from your county to represent the
public interest and private agriculture landowner perspective on our board.
All input will receive serious consideration during our Board selection process.
We look forward to continuing our work in your county and completing projects which will
restore fish as well as riparian habitat.
