Dear Frank L. Blackett:
This letter presents an update on the status of Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E)
efforts to address Recommendations 1 and 17 (R-1 and R-17) from the 11th 5-year Part 12D
safety inspection report (dated October 2020) for Bucks Storage Dam, which is part of PG&E’s
Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) No. 619.
PG&E submitted its original plans and schedules for addressing R-1 and R-17 in a letter to
your office dated December 31, 2020. PG&E requested an extension of time for R-1 in a letter
dated on August 31, 2021, and for R-17 in a letter dated December 30, 2021.
PG&E's status updates for R-1 and R-17 are provided in Enclosure 1. Drawings 51971 and
51994 (Enclosure 2) are provided in support of PG&E’s status updates, as described in Enclosure
1.
