The written narrative must describe the proposed use or project, including the services to be provided, square footage, hours and days of operations, number of employees, and other applicable information. The project is a restoration and modernization of Scotty’s Boat Landing, a long-standing Butte County business. The services provided will be in accordance with the lease agreement between Butte County and the lessee. As part of this agreement, the “lessee shall have the right of charging for services rendered on said premises to sportsman and other users thereof and shall be granted all concession rights that shall be desirable, necessary or required for the benefit of the public”. The current expectations for utilizing the concession rights are a restaurant, bar, boat docking, sporting equipment rental and retail merchandise sales. It is expected that operating hours for the restaurant, bar and merchandise sales will be 11:00am till 9:00pm Monday through Wednesday and 11:00am till11:00pm Thursday through Sunday. Sporting equipment rental hours are planned to be from 9:00am till 5:00pm, 7 days a week. Patrons of the boat dock will be provided 24-hr access to the dock. The number of employees is seasonal and will range from 3 during off peak to 15 during peak periods.
