RE: Building Permit No. B18-0744, APN 078-170-051
Dear Mr. Erickson:
Plans for the above referenced project have been routed to the Department of Public Works for
review of compliance with Butte County Code Section 26-12 (available on line at
http://municipalcodes.lexisnexis.com/codes/butteco/). Based on our initial review of the
information provided, the Department of Public Works has determined that the following items
will be required:
1. Construction of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and proper access from public roads.
2. Drainage plans and calculations. Engineering plans shall detail existing drainage
conditions and specify how storm water runoff will be either detained or retained
onsite and/ or conveyed to the nearest natural drainage channel or publicly
maintained facility. Engineering calculations shall show there is no increase in
peak flow runoff leaving the property.
3. Dedication of 30’ right-of-way from the physical centerline of Monte Vista Avenue
along the entire property frontage.
4. The construction of an enclosure for containers used to hold solid waste and/or
recyclable materials for collection.
5. An engineer’s estimate is required if issuance of the building permit is anticipated
prior to final construction approval of frontage improvements.
Plans and calculations have been received by the Land Development Division. Please submit a
minimum $700 plan checking deposit to the Land Development Division of the Public Works
Department, 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, CA. You may wish to submit up to 1.5% of the
engineers estimate to assure uninterrupted plan checking.
