Resolution No. 24-101
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE COUNTY ADDITIONAL FUNDING AWARD FOR
THE ACCESS TO TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM GRANT
WHEREAS, On July 15, 2022, the California Department of Aging (CDA), notified all Directors of County Human Services
Departments of the opportunity to apply for grant funding to meet the needs of diverse older adults and adults with
disabilities; and
WHEREAS, Access to Technology (ATT) program funding provides older adults and adults with disabilities access to
digital connectivity and technology to reduce isolation, increase social connections, and enhance self-confidence in
navigating digital and online resources; and
WHEREAS, Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services ("Grantee") was approved on October 14, 2022
for the ATT program in the amount of $429,884.00; and
WHEREAS, On February 22, 2024, Grantee was approved for additional funding of $71, 156.00 by way of amendment for
a total grant amount of $501,040.00; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby determine and declare
as follows:
SECTION 1. That Grantee is hereby authorized and directed to accept the additional funding for the ATT program
grant.
SECTION 2. That the Director of Employment and Social Services, or designee, is/are authorized to execute the
contract with the California Department of Aging in regards to the ATT program grant, and any subsequent amendments
or modifications thereto, as well as any other documents which are related to the contract, as the Department may deem
appropriate.
SECTION 3. That Grantee shall be subjected to the terms and conditions that are specified in the California
Department of Aging Standard Agreement, and that Grantee shall use the ATT program grant in accordance with the
California Department of Aging Standard Agreement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 30th day of July 2024, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, DurFee, Ritter, Teeter and Chair Kimmelsh
