Board Member/Committee Reports and Board Member Comment Supervisor Teeter - Traveled to Washington DC with Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) and attended meetings with various legislators, and attended the RCRC Annual Meeting. Supervisor Ritter - Sat on a panel with other elected officials, attended COC meeting, Butte County Behavioral Health Advisory Board meeting, Passages Advisory Nominating Committee meeting, attended a realtors forum at the Elks Lodge, a hydrology tour from 5-mile to Sycamore Creek, and attended a town hall meeting with Stonewall and Mental Health America. BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MINUTES – SEPTEMBER 24, 2024 Supervisor Connelly - Requested a head nod to draft a letter to the DMV requesting more examiners, which is needed to assist with the local linemen college for them to get their Class 1 Driver's License. Attended a Southside Community Center meeting welcoming CSU to Oroville, and the Feather River Recovery Alliance meeting. He further states he had discussions regarding maintenance responsibilities of the levee in Oroville, the Thompson fire and cleanup, and other various constituent concerns. Supervisor Kimmelshue - Attended the Gridley Cemetery District meeting, Vina Groundwater Sustainability meeting, visited Lake Almanor area and viewed the significant fire damage resulting from the Park Fire. 4.2. Public Comment Comments to the Board on issues and items not listed on the agenda. Pursuant to California State law, the Board of Supervisors is prohibited from taking action on any item not listed on the agenda. Please note that Public Comment is in two separate sections. One, at the beginning of the regular agenda, which will last a maximum of 15 minutes, with another to follow as the last item on the regular agenda with no time limits. Appointment to the Housing Authority of the County of Butte (Housing Authority) Melissa Kitts, Assistant Clerk of the Board, presented this item to the Board. No Public Comment was received for this item. Action Requested: APPOINT CHARLES ALFORD AS TENANT COMMISSIONER TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE FOR A TERM ENDING AUGUST 23, 2026. Action Requested: APPOINT DENNIS THENGVALL AND MICHAEL ARENS TO THE DRAINAGE DISTRICT 100 BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO EACH SERVE A FOUR YEAR TERM IN LIEU OF AN ELECTION. There were no interested parties or nominees at this time. 2) Lake Oroville Area Public Utilities District No Public Comment was received for this item. Action Requested: APPOINT DEE FAIRBANKS TO THE LAKE OROVILLE AREA PUBLIC UTILITIES DISTRICT. Revenue Agreement from a Congressionally Directed Spending Grant for Countywide Road Vegetation Management, Brush Removal, and Fire Suppression Josh Pack, Director of Public Works, presented this item to the Board. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND TIMED ITEMS 5.1. 10:30 am - Public Hearing - Resolution Reauthorizing the Temporary Closure of McIntosh Avenue to Vehicular Traffic Approximately East of its Intersection with Diamond Avenue Josh Pack, Director of Public Works, presented this item to the Board. No public comment was received for this item. Action Requested: ADOPT RESOLUTION AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN.
