HomeMy WebLinkAboutBoard Correspondence - 08.27.24From:York, Danette To:BOS Cc:Blankenship, DeAnne; McSpadden, Elaine; Ostrovskiy, Nikolay; Newman, Linda; Almaguer, Lisa Subject:Animal Control update on Great Danes Date:Tuesday, August 13, 2024 12:24:42 PM Hello Board Members and CAO Pickett, Below is a link to an action news story, which you may have already seen. Since there are a lot of inconsistencies and erroneous information, I want to provide you with an update on factual information regarding the Great Danes: https://youtu.be/BZ1DEM4uQVw?si=9X9mgfu8AMDml7BT The individual being interviewed (Max Hecker) is not in the database for animal control related incidents or reporting at all – his wife is but only for licensing a dog in 2007. Neither of them have ever called in a complaint to Butte County Animal Control Going back several years, a search related to these dogs, found no complaints regarding aggressive behavior. Animal control received two calls regarding these dogs, one on May 1st and the second on the day the Park fire started – both calls indicated the dogs were running loose and appeared underweight. A response to the first complaint found the dogs were thin but not to a degree that any intervention was required. At the time of response there were only six dogs seen. I am sure more information will come out on this case and we will keep you informed if we learn more. Danette D. From:CA Department of Insurance To:Clerk of the Board Subject:Consumer Alert- Commissioner Lara orders insurance protections for more than 185,000 Californians following wildfire emergencies Date:Wednesday, August 14, 2024 4:56:25 PM Commissioner Lara orders insurance protections for more than 185,000 Californians following wildfire emergencies Mandatory one-year moratorium prevents homeowners insurance cancellations and non-renewals in areas of Northern and Central California August 14, 2024 —Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara issued a mandatory one-year moratorium on insurance companies to preserve residential insurance coverage for more than 185,000 policyholders affected by the Park, Borel, and Gold Complex fires. The Commissioner’s Bulletin shields those living within the perimeters or adjoining ZIP Codes of these fires from insurance non-renewal or cancellation for one year from the date of the Governor’s emergency declarations regardless of whether they suffered a loss The Department of Insurance is deploying staff to wildfire disaster areas to assist survivors in filing claims and protect communities from potential insurance fraud and abuse. Consumer services experts are available in- person to answer questions at Local Assistance Centers and enforcement officers are on the ground in areas near the Park Fire, meeting with residents and coordinating with local law enforcement. Visit the Department’s website to find information about Local Assistance Centers near you and view the Top 10 Tips for wildfire claimants to avoid becoming a victim of a scam, or call 800-927-4357 with any insurance- related question. Commissioner Lara’s ability to issue these moratoriums is a result of a California law that he authored in 2018 while serving as a state senator in order to provide temporary relief from insurance non-renewals and cancellations to residents living within or adjacent to a gubernatorial- declared wildfire disaster.   “Homeowners plagued by devastating wildfires deserve the peace of mind that their home and future will remain covered by insurance as they recover and rebuild,” said Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara. “Protecting wildfire survivors from non-renewals is one of the many actions I am taking to implement proactive solutions that address the impacts of climate change and extreme wildfires on our communities.” —Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara   Since 2019, Commissioner Lara’s actions have protected nearly 4 million homeowners. Today’s order protects over 185,000 policyholders for one year, effective July 26, 2024, for the Park and Gold Complex Fires and July 30, 2024, for the Borel Fire. Consumers who were non-renewed prior to the emergency declaration date and are unable to obtain insurance or are dissatisfied with their current coverage should contact the Department of Insurance for assistance in shopping for insurance. Consumers can go to the Department of Insurance website to see if their ZIP Code is included in the moratorium. Consumers should contact the Department of Insurance at 800-927-4357 or via chat or email at insurance.ca.gov if they believe their insurance company is in violation of this law, or have additional claims-related questions.   Led by Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara, the California Department of Insurance is the consumer protection agency for the nation's largest insurance marketplace and safeguards all of the state’s consumers by fairly regulating the insurance industry. Under the Commissioner’s direction, the Department uses its authority to protect Californians from insurance rates that are excessive, inadequate, or unfairly discriminatory, oversee insurer solvency to pay claims, set standards for agents and broker licensing, perform market conduct reviews of insurance companies, resolve consumer complaints, and investigate and prosecute insurance fraud. Consumers are urged to call 1-800-927-4357 with any questions or contact us at www.insurance.ca.gov via webform or online chat. Like when WHO’s Tedros told you the mortality of COVID was 3.4% so 40 times more lethal. A pure lie and he and they knew with Fauci it was a lie to damage Trump’s re-election. To force the lockdown lunatic shutdown. WHO must be shut down, and America under Trump must exit WHO fully, make it law! Never to rejoin that WHO cabal of inept incompetent high crime bandit so called ‘scientists’, pulling flint and doing NOTHING but defrauding donors for salary. Today, you need no lockdown for no monkeypox fraud, no monkey pox vaccine. If See my suggestions below on how this monkeypox isto be handled as to high-risk groups: you are straight, heterosexual, low-risk, monogamous, you will be just fine. It is the Gay AND bisexual community who must act now to mitigate their risk…this deadlier strain is BS, this is a concern not for heterosexual person. The epidemic is concentrated in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but the virus has now appeared in a dozen other African countries. My prior guidance on GAY and bisexual monkeypox and the guidance was devised to help mitigate risk to the high-risk group based on my expertise in infectious diseases: Epidemiologist Dr. Paul Alexander: Change High-Risk Behavior to Mitigate Spread of Monkeypox | NTD No monkey-pox, no H5N1, H5N2, H5N8 bird flu fraud, no COVID...its done, over, the fraud has died, no avian bird flu & if you are not gay or bisexual, tranny etc. & are heterosexual & do not engage in male anus penis abrasive hitting slapping bumping aggressive sex contact, then no problem, monkey pox is a gay infection, no matter what WHO, CDC, Health Canada, PHAC, FDA says! tell gay men and bisexuals and trannies to be monogamous for a change, no 100 sex partners, no oral sex, no abrasive physical violent sex, no busting of warts and pustules on each others’ anuses and penis and bodies, just behave now…one sex partner and in fact, none for 6 months… no bath houses…stop…refrain…if your wife is monogamous as she is, low risk as she is…faithful to you, please do not mislead and harm the lady by engaging in bisexual shit…then please end the relationship…else you will take that monkey pox situation to her and hurt her… W.H.O. Declares Global EmergencyOver New Mpox Outbreak You have to understand, it is when gay and bisexual, tranny, especially bisexual males lie to and deceivetheir monogamous partners, e.g. heterosexual wives orpartners….you see she is monogamous heterosexualand she thought he was, but he was a bastard freakpervert sexing with gay and bisexual males and allsorts of high-risk behaviors e.g. injecting drug use, sharing drug-injecting equipment etc. taking home allsorts of filth to her…this is how HIV expanded intosome of the heterosexual none-gay population…it wasnever a hetero-sexual issue as is this monkey-pox.
