Thanks to the Chair and staff for adding Higher EducaƟon to the state legislaƟve plaƞorm. With the ongoing budget crisis
at Sonoma State and the impending budget crisis in several community college districts whose funding has been frozen,
we must act now to protect funding for Chico State and BuƩe-Glenn and ensure the death spiral does not ensnarl us.
Thanks too for adding reforestaƟon to the federal plaƞorm. Alas it is harder to predict what else our friends in DC might
suddenly need to be told, such as not to strangle the federal Department of EducaƟon.
I support the plaƞorm as amended.
