User comment: Communities (like Butte County) that participate in FEMA’s National Flood
Insurance Programs Community Rating System (CRS) can result in lower flood insurance
premiums for those properties located in a flood zone. Butte County is already performing
many of the activities and programs that are eligible for the CRS credits, including adopting
the Local Hazardous Mitigation Plan. With most of us seeing our various insurance premiums
going up, it would be nice to see Butte County take advantage of the CRS program
