Highway 70 Southbound Lane Closures Next Week
Expected Impacts on Sacramento Daily Commuters
SUTTER COUNTY – Caltrans is alerting motorists that State Route 70 (SR-70) heading
southbound, spanning from Nicolaus Avenue to the junction with State Route 99, will have a lane
closures next week.
This scheduled maintenance involves crack sealing on the #2 lane and is scheduled to take place
on the following days between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.:
· Monday, April 22
· Tuesday, April 23
· Wednesday, April 24
· Friday, April 26
Motorists should anticipate delays of up to 20 minutes. Caltrans urge drivers to exercise caution,
adhere to posted signs, and follow instructions from road crews. Please plan your daily commute
into the Sacramento area accordingly.
Motorists are encouraged to check Caltrans’ QuickMap before traveling for current road conditions
or download the QuickMap app from the App Store or Google Play. Road information is also
available on Caltrans’ website or by calling the California Highway Information Network automated
phone service at 1-800-427-ROAD (7623).
Caltrans District 3 is responsible for maintaining and operating 4,385 lane miles in 11
Sacramento Valley and Northern Sierra counties. Caltrans reminds motorists to “Be Work
Zone Alert” and slow in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing
these improvements.

app from the App Store or Google Play.
