BUTTE COUNTY ANNOUNCES COMMUNITY MEETINGS TO GATHER INPUT ON EMERGENCY
EVACUATION MAP UPDATE
Butte County, Ca -- Butte County is in the process of updating emergency evacuation maps to
enhance community preparedness efforts. The project will update or expand emergency
evacuation maps which show emergency travel routes and public assembly points. The
emergency evacuation maps are used during fires, disasters, or other emergencies requiring
evacuations. Current versions of emergency evacuation maps are available on the Butte
County Emergency Management website.
Emergency evacuation maps for the following project focus areas are being updated: Forest
Ranch/Butte Meadows, Upper Ridge, East Oroville/Cherokee, Cohasset/Richardson Springs,
Palermo/Bangor, Butte Creek/Butte Valley, Forbestown/Robinson Mill/Clipper Mills, Berry
Creek, Concow/Yankee Hill, Hurleton/Feather Falls, and the City of Biggs.
Butte County Law Enforcement, Fire, and Emergency Managers will hold 11 community
meetings throughout Butte County to gather public input for each area’s emergency
evacuation map. Residents are encouraged to attend the community meeting in their area. A
list of community meeting dates and times is available online at
