Update to 2024 Outage Schedule – Bucks Creek U2
Dear Frank L. Blackett:
This letter presents an update to Pacific Gas and Electric Company's (PG&E) schedule of
planned outages in 2024 which require dewatering of tunnels, conduits, or penstocks.
Penstock dewatering is required for the Bucks Powerhouse Unit 2, which is part of PG&E’s
Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) No.
619. PG&E submitted the 2024 outage schedule to FERC on October 26, 2023.

The Bucks U2 outage extension is needed due to delays in obtaining drawings and
performing SCADA updates. The extension will also allow for extensive testing prior to
returning the unit to service. This routine maintenance outage will follow the previously
executed procedures that have been coordinated with your office.
