Implementing One-Way Traffic Control at Night
BUTTE COUNTY – Caltrans is alerting motorists that State
Route 70 (SR-70) will be reopening to one-way traffic control
next week from 4:30 p.m. to 7 a.m near Pulga starting Monday.
During the daytime, the highway will remain closed in order to
perform ongoing repair work to address damages from recent
winter storms.
This schedule is subject to change due to the rain expected over
the weekend. The SR-70 closure has been in place since late
February from Jarbo Gap to the Greenville Wye in Plumas
County.
Motorists are also encouraged to check Caltrans’ QuickMap before traveling for current road
conditions and chain requirements or download the QuickMap app from the App Store or Google
Play. Road information is also available on Caltrans’ website or by calling the California Highway
Information Network automated phone service at 1-800-427-ROAD (7623).
Caltrans District 3 is responsible for maintaining and operating 4,385 lane miles in 11
