We appreciate PG&E has had several follow-up meetings and presentations with the Plumas National Forest (PNF) and other agencies since PG&E submitted the MIF variance request. It is our understanding that prior to approval of the MIF variance request, PG&E must engage in Section 7 consultation with the US Fish and Wildlife Service as well as pursue an amendment of the Water Quality Certification for the variance. PNF concurs with the variance requested in the Biological Assessment of June 1 through November 15, 2025, under the assumption that the conditions and protective measures from the consultation and the Water Quality amendment processes are followed. Thank you for the opportunity to weigh in on the variance request.
