I would object once again to paying Megabyte this extravagant sum for software which is so deficient we must also pay Just Appraised for features Megabyte fails to include then pay Megabyte a surcharge so their product continues to work with Just Appraised. The cumulative sum we have paid Megabyte would have been enough to commission property tax software that we the people would own and which truly met the county's needs. Last meeting, it was brought up that the Department of Water Resources was developing a groundwater model that all GSAs could share. So too might the 58 counties share property tax software rather than paying escalating costs due to vendor lock-in. This contract has now reached the level that it should no longer be on the consent agenda; it should be discussed in front of the taxpayers, along with alternatives for the future.
