If you're having trouble viewing this email, you can see it online. Hello, Clerk! Thank you for your interest in Chico Housing Action Team's Second Annual Housing Conference this Friday (May 30). For those who will be joining us tomorrow (Thursday, May 29) to tour local agencies, below you will find a schedule and logistics, including parking info. These free pre-conference tours offer a chance to see solutions in action: CHAT Office: Learn about our programs—including CHAT's master leasing model, landlord engagement, and supportive services—that help people move from homelessness to stability. Everhart Village: Tour CHAT's unique emergency shelter operation, developed in collaboration with Butte County Behavioral Health, which supports unsheltered individuals living with mental health challenges. True North Housing Alliance: True North operates the Torres Community Shelter, Chico’s longest-serving congregate shelter. On this tour, you'll preview its forthcoming Navigation Center, now under construction—a key piece of our community’s future response to homelessness. (Note: You will need to register separately for the conference and the pre- conference events. For registration info, click here.) Pre-conference schedule (May 29) First stop: Arrive at CHAT's office at 1 p.m. We are located at 125 Mission Ranch Blvd., in Chico, and have ample parking. Second location: The tour of Everhart Village (540 Cohasset Road) starts at 2 p.m., and we recommend carpooling there from CHAT's office. The village does not have dedicated parking, so, if driving separately, find a location on Cohasset Road or nearby Rio Lindo Ave. Please do not park in spaces designated for Butte County Behavioral Health or at the DMV parking lot. Third location: At 3 p.m., check out the state-of-the-art Navigation Center now under construction by True North Housing Alliance (101 Silver Dollar Way). Find parking info and directions below. Thursday evening: Join CHAT and other affordable housing professionals and advocates for a special evening screening of UnCharitable, a film that challenges conventional thinking about nonprofit work and invites bold action. (The showing is a benefit for CHAT programs. Click here for tickets.) Much thanks to our partner organization True North Housing Alliance—operators of the Torres Community Shelter—for their conference sponsorship! Additional thanks to Modern Building Co. for sponsoring conference parking. Thanks also to Murdock's Moving & Storage for their generous sponsorship. At CHAT, we believe everyone is deserving of affordable housing. Click here to learn about our mission and to sign up for our bi-weekly updates.
