Subject: Gridley Road Maintenance Yard
Greetings, Board members,
As you may recall, since August 2022, Public Works has been exploring options to relocate
from our aging road maintenance yard in Gridley. While we have engaged in discussions with
the cities of Gridley and Biggs to explore potential partnerships, these avenues have not
resulted in viable solutions to meet our operational needs.
Recently, we identified a potential industrial property for sale in Gridley that may be suitable
for our operations. Public Works is currently collaborating with General Services to conduct
due diligence and evaluate the feasibility of this property.
I wanted to inform you about this development in case you hear any information from the
property owner or other parties involved. I am available to talk about this more offline as
needed.
I am also working with the CAO and County Counsel to schedule a closed-session
presentation to provide a more detailed update on this potential solution for our space needs in
Gridley, should it be a viable option.
Sincerely,
Josh
