WHEN Thursday, March 6, 2025 9:00-9:30 am - Coffee & A Little Breakfast 9:30-10:30 am - 10 min presentations 10:30-11:30 am - Open House, One-On-Ones WHERE Elks Lodge 150 S Shasta Street Willows, CA WWW.GLENNCOUNTYRCD.ORG FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES CDFA Healthy Soils Program - GLENN COUNTY HSP provides financial assistance for implementation of conservation management that improves soil health, sequester carbon and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. CDFA State Water Efficiency and Enhancement Program - GLENN COUNTY SWEEP provides financial assistance for implementation of practices that conserve water, save energy and reduce GHG emissions. CDFA Pollinator Habitat Program - GLENN + COLUSA COUNTIES PHP provides financial assistance for planning and implementation of native habitats for the benefit of native biodiversity and the use of locally appropriate native plant seed mixes when feasible. CDFA Alternative Manure Management Program AMMP implement non-digester manure management practices that reduce methane emissions from dairy and livestock operations. Receive up to $750,000 in funding, up to 100% of project cost. Carl Moyer and FARMER Programs Voluntary grant programs that reduce air pollution, primarily from diesel vehicles and equipment, by providing incentive funds to purchase cleaner-than-required engines and equipment. These cost-share grant programs generally require the destruction of an older polluting engine and replacing it with the least polluting equipment available. All projects selected by the District must be in compliance with local and state regulations at time of contracting. Farm Bill Programs: EQIP, CSP, NAP, TAP, ELAP ...the list goes on The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) provides financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers in order to address natural resource concerns and deliver environmental benefits such as improved water and air quality, conserved ground and surface water, reduced soil erosion and sedimentation or improved or created wildlife habitat. Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) helps agricultural producers maintain and improve their existing conservation systems and adopt additional conservation activities to address priority resources concerns. Participants earn CSP payments for conservation performance - - the higher the performance, the higher the payment. Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP) provides financial assistance to producers of noninsurable crops to protect against natural disasters that result in lower yields or crop losses, or prevents crop planting. Tree Assistance Program (TAP) provides financial assistance to qualifying orchardists and nursery tree growers to replant or rehabilitate eligible trees, bushes and vines damaged by natural disasters. The Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honey Bees, and Farm-Raised Fish Program (ELAP) offers financial aid to producers who suffer losses from specific adverse conditions not covered by other USDA disaster assistance programs. This includes losses due to disease, certain adverse weather events, and other qualifying conditions affecting livestock, honey bees, and farm-raised fish. ELAP provides critical support to help producers recover and sustain their operations. FSA Loans offer low-interest loans to new farmers unable to obtain commercial financing as well as loans for young farmers and small to mid-sized family farm operations for land, equipment and operating costs as well as direct loans for cold storage, bulk tanks and handling equipment. SGMA Outreach & Technical Assistance - GLENN AND COLUSA COUNTIES Information and technical assistance available for understanding of the new groundwater regulations; Glenn County RCD is working with the lead-SGMA partners, local RCDs and Community Alliance with Family Farmers to ensure all farmers have access to the knowledge needed for future operational planning. Specialized services offered by Dudek, e.g. analysis of well interface, existing well conditions using downhole video log, and pump testing. North State SubRegion - Southwest REGIONAL FOOD Business Center Supports small and mid-sized food and farm businesses including producers, processors, distributors, and other related businesses within the food supply chain. The support includes business technical assistance such as website development, grant writing, business plan development, loan and finance advising, and more.
