Dear Honorable Chair and Board Members,
As a business/organiza on that partners with Explore Bu e County to promote our
unique corner of Bu e County, I write to express strong support for the proposed
modifica ons to the Bu e County Tourism Business Improvement District (BCTBID),
as outlined by the Owners’ Associa on, Explore Bu e County.
Our business and organiza on rely on a vibrant visitor economy to sustain local jobs,
s mulate spending, and fuel the ongoing recovery and economic vitality of our
community. The proposed BCTBID modifica ons, including expanding the district to
include short-term vaca on rentals, adjus ng the assessment rate, and refining the
district term, will ensure a stable, equitable funding structure that directly benefits all
who depend on tourism in Bu e County.
Explore Bu e County’s programs drive awareness of our region, encourage overnight
stays, and a ract new visitors who support local businesses like ours. Strengthening
the BCTBID’s resources through these modifica ons is cri cal to con nuing successful
marke ng, des na on development, and visitor services that enhance Bu e County’s
compe veness and resilience.
I respec ully urge the Board of Supervisors to adopt the proposed modifica ons to
the BCTBID Management District Plan, ensuring we can con nue building a thriving,
sustainable tourism economy that benefits residents, businesses, and communi es
throughout Bu e County.
