Employee Resilience: The What and How
Thursday, August 14, 2025 - on Zoom
When we think about government today, we find ourselves in challenging times! With resource
constraints, fellow public servants are doing more with less. Regular electoral changes,
competing priorities, and political polarization requires adapting to change that are outside of
your control. There are significant pressure on employees within the public service sector. In this
brief video, we hear from Dr. Sowa about a topic of growing interest – ‘Employee Resilience’ as a
valuable tool for navigating the challenges faced in public service.
Join us on Thursday, August 14 virtually on zoom and geek out with us in this exciting topic.

Course 127- Leadership Foundations: Exploring How Personal Values Shape
Leadership Approaches
July 18, 2025 9:00am to 2:30pm via Zoom
Dr. Frank Benest comes from a vibrant Lebanese family, where storytelling was a rich part of his
home life and community. This course gives him the opportunity to teach on something close to
his heart and the opportunity to share vital knowledge.
Storytelling is a powerful tool and something that we all have within us to help us evolve as
leaders and communicators.
In this highly interactive course Benest will share how everyone can be a storyteller. He will cover
the key elements of a powerful story, go over how to formulate structure, how to workshop
pulling stories from our own experiences, and how to present and incorporate data and other
persuasive elements.
Please reach out to Training Program Coordinator, Faith, at femmert-sanchez@counties.org with
any questions.
