Rather than restore generation, the licensee proposes to surrender the project license and remove certain project features. The licensee proposes to remove the damaged powerhouse and substation, restore the tailrace and other project areas, and complete overall cleanup of the site. The private dam, leased by the licensee when the project operated, would remain in place. Initial cleanup following the fire was completed in 2022. Prior to fire, the project operated in a run-of-river mode with 5-13 cubic feet per second released into the bypassed reach, depending on time of year. Due to limited inflow, the project was typically off-line from July-October, and all inflow released at the dam.
