Dear Mr. Hook,
This office has reviewed your application for a tentative parcel map as indicated above.The following is an analysis of that
review.
Project: To divide a 5-acre parcel in to five t-acre parcels. There is an existing septic system on proposed Parcel 1,
which was repaired under permit in 2014, and will continue to be used for the existing sin91e family dwellin9, there is adequate
area for future wastewater system repairs. Wells will be drilled on each parcel for domestic water.There is an existing well on
Parcel 1 which will continue to be used for the current dwelling, and on Parcel 5, which may be used for the proposed
development on the contingency that it meets the standard for domestic water quality, otherwise it will be destroyed and a new
well drilled.

Report of Findings:The parcels are flat with the remnants of a walnut orchard and an existing single family dwelling. Soil tests
were conducted by Northstar and myself on July 8, 2016, the results of which indicate a consistent depth of approximately 60"
ofsandyclayloamsoil.No evidence of high seasonal groundwater observed,therefore nogroundwater monitoring is required.
Recommended Conditions of Approval:If you were to submit a map which is substantially the same as the map received in
this pre-application, you could expect this Division's support, subject to the following recommended conditions:
1. Place a note on the final map or additional map sheet stating:
"Reports that may have been conditions of approvai on the tentative map and a list of current county requirements for
building sites are on file and available for review in the Butte County Department of Development Services and Butte
County Public Health Department Environmental Health Division files.
This review should not be construed as a blanket approval of your project since participation in the County Parcel Map process
my require revisions to the project or conditions of approval in response to other agency requirements, public comment or
additional information received. When you apply for your map at the Planning Division, the remainder of your fee for
Environmental Health services will be $789.00. Please note that you should have your Pre-Application Review receipt available
at the time you make application.
This letter concludes this Division's review of your pre-application. If you have any questions contact this office between 8:00
am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
