Subject: 111% Pay Raise-Response
Dear Board of Supervisors,
I read in the news about your plans and upcoming vote to give yourselves a 111% pay
raise to over $130k.
I can't even begin to say how disappointed and disgusted I am that any elected official
would think their job so important to want to make 2x as much as the average median
income for a tax paying resident of Butte County. Especially given the staus of our roads,
parks and homeless situation.
I'm sure you will approve your own raise but I also hope that you know that the public
who votes and pays taxes is watching.
