Re:Repair on Upstream Joints and Dam Face Project
Dear Mr.Cruzen:
This is in response to a letter dated July 28, 2025,from Mr. Robert Ellis that
submitted a request for an extension of time to complete upstream joint and dam face
repair project which was initiated to address the 2015 Part 12D follow-up item M.6,at
Grizzly Forebay Dam, which is part of the Bucks Creek Project, FERC No. 619. We have
reviewed your proposed extension of time and have the following comment:
Your request is rejected since there is insufficient engineering justification
provided for extending the completion of what was originally a Part 12D
recommendation to 18 years after it was originally made. Although you chose to
no longer track this as a Part 12D recommendation, it retains the importance of
one. Provide a stronger engineering justification related to potential dam safety
implications by extending the completion of this recommendation.
Within 45 days of the date of this letter, provide a response to our comment or a
plan and schedule to address our comment. File your submittal using our eFiling system
at https://www.ferc.gov/ferc-online/overview. When eFiling, select Hydro: Dam Safety;
San Francisco Regional Office from the eFiling menu. The cover page of the filing must
indicate that the material was eFiled. For assistance with eFiling, contact FERC Online
