Subject: Confirmation of 2025 Environmental Inspection
Dear Mrs. Maggard:
This letter confirms the outcome of our recent meeting regarding the environmental
inspection of the Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project No. 619. The inspection will be held
September 23 through September 26, 2025. Please arrange to have the appropriate
personnel accompany me during the inspections.
During the inspection, I will visually confirm compliance and observe fish and
wildlife facilities, habitat restoration efforts, cultural resources management, recreation
facilities, gauging or other monitoring equipment, and public safety features at the
projects as applicable. I will also review what reasonable measures are being taken at the
projects to prevent soil erosion and water or air pollution. This typically involves
reviewing what precautions are being taken to properly contain leadacid batteries and
petroleum products, such as diesel fuel, hydraulic fluid, and lubricating and insulating
oils. Additionally, I will perform a field verification of the installed capacity ratings of
the turbines and generators. Finally, I will discuss the requirements of the project
licenses and review project records prior to the inspection to confirm your compliance
with them.
