stonewall needs this resource to help the community. LGBT youth and adults deserve the resources that
stonewall is able to provide when they have butte county behavioral health helping them. especially when
america is so dangerous right now for us. there’s so many lgbt people in chico who need these resources.

I urge you to keep funding Stonewall since it helps members of the LGBTQ+ community get support during this
difficult times. It can feel isolating and anxious to not receive resources and help when discovering one's sexuality
or gender identity. So again, I plead you still continue with the support of Stonewall so they can better help us
during and after these times. Because we need support now more than ever and discontinuing it would negatively
impact us when trying to find support.

With organizations like Stonewall Alliance, the amount of transgender teen suicides are only at a 76%. The
percentage is so large due to the overwhelming amount of hate and discrimination against the LGBTQ+
community as a whole. Stonewall Alliance provides information, education and life skills for lgbtq children and
adults to show that they are not alone, and that they are equal to everyone else around them. Stonewall Alliance
exists to help and protect the LGBTQ+ community. These organizations are what help keep children alive
because it helps kids and adults know that there is a safe place for them to be themselves, and educates people
about what being LGBTQ+ means, or how it affects LGBTQ+ people. Stonewall Alliance makes me personally
feel safe. As an individual that is also part of the LGBTQ+ community, I am confident in saying that Stonewall
Alliance is an incredibly important asset and a safe haven for our community as a whole.

The Stonewall Alliance is an imperative part of the foundation of Butte County as a whole and it's presence
should under no circumstance be challenged. The services that are provided by The Stonewall Alliance are an
opportunity for members of the community to have access to resources that help them successfully navigate their
lives in a world otherwise filled with turbulence and blind opposition. Any community and its health and strength is
determined by those who do the work and provide the action that substantiates that health and strength, and The
Stonewall Alliance is one of the organizations that has filled itself with those people. The Stonewall Alliance has
my unwavering support without exception, I stand with Stonewall.

Chico Stonewall Alliance is the only organization that stands to protect the human rights, mental health and basic
existence of not only LGBTQ folks of this county but also people with family and friends who are constantly
marginalized, hated, and bullied for who they are. This organization is understaffed and underfunded and still
stands to provide unwavering support for anyone in need of any service they provide.

I strongly support the ongoing funding of Stonewall Alliance of Chico’s support groups and trainings. As a local
mental health professional, I have first hand knowledge of the most devastating impacts that anti-LGBTQ+ stigma
and rhetoric have had on our youth and community. Stonewall Alliance of Chico has always been a safe haven for
our community. Peer facilitated support groups are an essential part of the continuum of care for youth and adults.
They are effective at reducing isolation and improving overall mental wellbeing.
I have also engaged with several Stonewall trainings over the years and have walked away with increased
knowledge and skills.
The ongoing funding of these services is money we’ll spent in our community!

Stonewall is a necessary resource for queer folks in Butte County. Funding for Stonewall helps keep our local
queer and trans community safe and emotionally/mentally cared for. Without that kind of funding for this group, it
will close, and our community will be left to its own devices, and we will suffer. Stonewall has done nothing but
good for our community and it is vital for the survival of local queers.

with them to set up a Trans youth matters walkout at Pleasant Valley high school and i’ve been supported by

No other entity in Chico or the surrounding areas within Butte County have the capacity or infrastructure in place
to carry on Stonewall's services, in whole or in part. We are already dealing with a severe deficit of vital services
related to public health, including education and outreach. The schism between the growing need for such
services and the number of qualified providers available to meet them has widened, exacerbated during a critical
time between the Camp Fire and the pandemic. Ending any amount of funding to Stonewall Alliance Center will
further exacerbate these severe consequences, including upticks in homelessness, poverty, food insecurity, and
illness.

Stonewall is doing critical, important work that no other organization in Butte County does, and it is imperative
that they are allowed to continue with support from the county. I have both family and friends who have leaned on
Stonewall for support in very dark times, and who have felt a level of care and empathy from them that, again, is
practically impossible to find elsewhere in Butte County. On top of this, they also provide intern opportunities with
our local CSU, Chico Public Health students. When my best friend interned for them two years ago, I was able to
get a better idea of not only the amazing things they accomplish, but the fantastic educational opportunity that
they also provided her and other Chico State students. The fact that it is in question whether or not this life saving
organization should receive funding is truly mind boggling. There are absolutely no negatives to the work that
Stonewall does— they build community, support some of our most vulnerable members, and promote the well
being and safety of those members. For those of us who prioritize the safety and well being of these vulnerable
community members, what Stonewall brings to the table for our community far outweighs the naysayers
attempting to be the loudest in the room right now. I plead with our Board to be considerate not of what other’s
uniformed opinions may be, but of the real, tangible work that Stonewall has accomplished over the years. This
organization is now a beloved staple in our community, and should only be encouraged to continue the amazing,
invaluable support that they provide for countless people.

As a social worker, parent, and long-time Chico resident, I would like to offer my full support and appreciation for
the education, training, and advocacy services that Stonewall Alliance of Chico offers to Butte County. The
Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that 35% of transgender students attempt suicide
(https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/68/wr/mm6803a3.htm). The Trevor Project's 2022 National Survey on
LGBTQ Youth Mental Health found that 45% of LGBTQ youth seriously considered attempting suicide in the past
year (https://www.thetrevorproject.org/survey-2022/). The services and supports that Stonewall provides to Butte

I have worked in student services at Butte college for 20 years. I have worked with hundreds of students that
identify within the LGBTQ+ community. Butte college is committed to supporting these students in a variety of
ways - a center on campus, clubs, the chosen name initiative, attending statewide advocacy conferences, guest
speakers, Safe Zone training for over 100 employees, and more.
Butte County should have the same level of dedication to our LGBTQ+ community members. Stonewall provides
valuable (and sometimes life saving) services and support, not just to people in Chico…people seek out
Stonewall from all around the county. This site and its broad reach of services are essential because it is the only
center like it in Butte County. We not only need to keep it open and we’ll funded, we should continue to expand
and evolve as the community need increases.
Additionally, I am the parent of two teenagers living in Chico. My children are surrounded by friends who utilize
Stonewall’s services and attend their events. Stonewall has been an incredible resource and safe haven for our
region’s local youth.

As a previous intern at Stonewall Alliance of Chico and a College of Public Health graduate at CSU Chico, I urge
you to continue funding Stonewall's contract with Butte County Behavior Health. I have personally witnessed the
positive impacts this 501(c)(3) has on our LGBTQ+ community in Butte County as well as the educational impact
it has had on our heterosexual ally community. I know if this organization lost funding, it would significantly impact
the safety and empowerment the LGBTQ+ community has in this county due to the potential lack of education
given by Stonewall Alliance of Chico staff members. I implore policymakers to continue funding Stonewall Alliance

Why is this still an issue in 2023? Good Christians don't hate others and judge them, they stand with the
marginalized and downtrodden. They speak up for those who are cast out from society and shunned for their
differences.
God loves ALL of his children equally, and to use the Lord's name in vain to condem others is a far greater sin
than finding love and contentment in life.
“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ
Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28) Also “…God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean.” (Acts
10:28)
Jesus Christ, the son of God himself, not only socialized with people that the religious figurehead of his time
disapproved of, he protected them and showed them kindness and love, just as we should show kindness and
love to those that the Church seeks to oppress.
Support the Stonewall Alliance of Chico because that's what Jesus would want you to do.

As a proud longtime Chico/Butte County resident I fully support Stonewall Alliance of Chico's support for
Outreach Services. I firmly believe that this partnership has a profound and positive impact on our community,
particularly in addressing the needs of the LGBTQIA+ population.
Stonewall of Chico has a proven track record of providing invaluable support, resources, and advocacy for the
LGBTQ+ community in our region. Their commitment to promoting inclusivity, equality, and social justice aligns
perfectly with the values and principles that we should strive for as a society.
By continuing to enter into an agreement with Stonewall of Chico, Butte County will not only be providing much-
needed services to an underserved population but also sending a powerful message of acceptance and support.
LGBTQ+ individuals often face unique challenges, including discrimination, harassment, and limited access to
appropriate healthcare and social services. By partnering with Stonewall, we can ensure that these individuals
receive the assistance they need to thrive in our community.
The outreach services provided by Stonewall of Chico will offer a range of essential support, including
counseling, education, community engagement, and referral services. By connecting LGBTQ+ individuals with
these resources, we can foster a more inclusive and compassionate community, where everyone feels safe,
valued, and supported.
Furthermore, this partnership has the potential to enhance the overall well-being of our community. Studies have
consistently shown that when marginalized groups receive support and equal opportunities, the entire community
benefits. By investing in outreach services for the LGBTQ+ community, we are investing in a more resilient,
vibrant, and harmonious Butte County.

I stand with Stonewall. Over the years, they have provided educational trainings to the departments I have
worked for. My co-workers left with a better understanding of sexual orientation and gender identity and felt more
equipped to serve their clients and our community with more understanding and compassion.

My teen and young adult children have been helped tremendously by the support groups offered at Stonewall for
gender-questioning youth. I was so grateful that there was a local resource for such support, because I really
wasn’t sure how best to support them through such challenging questions. They were met acceptance, a warm
welcome, and helpful information in a safe and affirming environment. Very grateful for Stonewall and asking the
Board to continue to support their important work in the community.

Stonewall was there for my daughter and found her a counselor when no one else could! We worked with the
county for months and they had nothing for us. My daughter was suicidal and wanted to leave school. Because of
Stonewall, she finished school, graduated and is now attending Butte College and working full time. They saw us
and heard us when we needed help! Their community outreach is a life saving service!

Dear Board of Supervisors, Thank you for supporting this critical resource in our community. Stonewall provides a
beacon of hope for so many including myself. I’ve seen firsthand their positive approach to helping people feel
appreciated, respected and safe. I work in a school and we had a training taught by Stonewall last year where we
learned how to take care of our communities and be better allies. We learned that the suicide rate for trans and
queer kids is higher than the rest of the student population and is directly related to whether or not they feel
supported and safe. Our community lacks mental health supports and there is still so much more needed.
However, Stonewall is doing outstanding work on a shoestring budget. Perhaps we should double the amount?

As a retired teacher and forty+ year resident of Butte County, I value the quality services Stonewall Alliance
provides for our community. All residents of our community deserve support for their individual needs and
Stonewall is just one of critical organizations that provides that to a specific group. I encourage you to continue to

As an education and human development professor, I have spent my professional career supporting others in
their learning journeys. And through my many years, I have repeatedly learned that when humans feel safe, seen,
and respected, we can learn and thrive. This has been a constant, whether I was teaching young children,
graduate students, or the community college students I now serve here in Butte County.
I have been fortunate to collaborate with Stonewall in several capacities in the community and on campus at
Butte College. I have seen the work they do for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as the training
they offer to those seeking to develop their skills as allies and become sources of support and understanding.
These stellar mission-driven folks at Stonewall clearly want nothing but to ensure we all feel safe, seen, and
respected, including those who identify as LGBTQIA+. Stonewall’s mission, to support and celebrate “the health,
empowerment, and joy of the North State LGBTQ+ community at every intersection of their identities,” seems
straightforward. But today is an example, just one of many, why it is anything but simple.
We all develop our self-efficacy and resilience when we are seen, feel safe, and embraced. Are we different
across this community? Yes, indeed. And communities are strengthened by creating bridges across differences,
not barriers, the bridges that Stonewall shores up through their training and advocacy. The same work that
Stonewall does to support and celebrate “health, empowerment, and joy of the North State LGBTQ+ community
at every intersection of their identities.
Please do not let discomfort, misunderstanding, fear, or outright bias prevent us as a community from continuing
to create such important spaces for us all to learn, grow, and thrive.
Please vote in SUPPORT of 3.13 (Agreement with Stonewall Alliance of Chico) and the urgently important work
needed to promote inclusivity, acceptance, understanding, and our entire community's collective growth and
development.

Stonewall is a critical resource for Chico and Butte County residents, including my family.
They serve an important role in providing support and information for our entire community.
LGBTQ Children and children of LGBTQ family members are regular targets of bullying, hate speech, assaults,
and emotional torture. They also have a high rate of suicide and suicide attempts in comparison of our non-lgbtq
area youth.
What makes the difference for a child and young adults in making that decision to take their own life IS having
support and access to accurate information. This support and resource access point is often found ONLY from
Stonewall.
I am highly concerned about the current anti-trans trend flooding our nation.
We have a group right here in Butte County that is spearheading an actual attack on our LGTBQ children. They
will be attending the meeting today, and speaking to you in negative reference regarding Stonewall and ultimately
speaking negatively about extremely vulnerable children.
Please see around the political agenda with this hot topic. Think of the children that this wonderful nonprofit
serve. Think of how limited these children already are in having a safe place to go for support and help. Think of
the daily bullying that they absolutely experience while just going to school or dream of participating in extra-
curricular activities. Please, help be someone that they can look to and thank for making a positive difference in
their life.
The people of Stonewall are dedicated to our kids. They are dedicated to breaking down walls of discrimination
and misinformation.
Some will call them bullies, some will accuse them of conditioning or influencing or any other blanket accusation,
when in reality these very brave employees and volunteers are doing their very best as making the future for this
children just a bit more positive and supportive. They are working hard to ensure that our LGBTQ children and
young adults HAVE A FUTURE.
If you have a child in your life, and most of us do, please imagine your child at the mercy of a community split and
divided on supporting them. Imagine that child being called a CREEP, just for going to their PE class. Imagine
your little baby being called a PERVERT by grown adults because their confusion about transgender leads them
to speak out publicly from a place of fear rather than a place of accurately informed truth.
Stonewall serves these people in our community too. Stonewall is a positive force that needs your continued
support, and in this time of political turmoil they will need your support even more.
Please remember that our communities are made up of so many diverse people. Please show a strong sense of
unity from the county supervisor dias for that diversity and equality.
Thank you for your time, efforts, and leadership in our community.

I stand with the Stonewall Alliance Center and support them. I'm a proud Chico native in my 30s, having lived
here most of my life, as an alumna and staff personnel at Chico State University.
Stonewall fulfills a very necessary community function for all queer, questioning folks, or those who have loved
ones in the community. They helped me find counseling, helped me understand the local and federal procedures
in order to update and change my personal information during my transition, and helped me connect with other
people in the queer community.
Without this sense of belonging - especially during the recent pandemic - I may not be here today. Instead of
feeling that my life is over like I did 6 years ago, I am living my best life without fear and full of love. I don't need
them now as much as I did at the beginning of my journey, but knowing that they will always be there for me and
people like me gives me as much peace of mind as having other functional public services does.
I implore you to open your hearts and support this community center that actively supports the community every
day. Thank you.

This item fails to specify if serial killer $PCG is paying us a single dollar for this encumbrance on our public
property. The malfeasors are not in any way working to restore safe and reliable service which they have never
been able to provide; their entire corporate history from San Francisco 1906 through Mosquito Fire 2022 is
calamitous. Given that their hazardous infrastructure has been proven obsolete and must be replaced, there is no
reason a proven bad actor should be the entity in charge of the new system. Nothing in this item justifies the
assertion that PG&E requires that the county grant this easement. They have proven that they are not true to their

Here is another third-party software vendor we are paying to partially automate document processing Megabyte
Property Tax System is unable to handle internally. Unlike an actual software purchase, we seem to be paying for
not just technical support but license to continue using software the vendor not the county continues to own. It is
certainly correct to automate processing of paper checks and likely to correct to extend this contract beyond
2023. The longterm solution, once again, is to work with other counties to commission software that we the
people own to minimize these recurring expenses.

S.O.S. BUTTE COUNTY RESIDENTS
YOU MUST RESEARCH FOR YOURSELF THE COVID “VACCINES”
and HOSPITAL PROTOCOLS
In fact, “Pfizer CEO Albert Boula explains to the World Economic Forum there’s a surplus of 7,000,000,000 doses
of his COVID ‘vaccines’ sitting in warehouses because there aren’t enough educated populations that believe the
‘vaccines’ are doing well.“ The CEO of Moderna: “It’s sad to say I’m throwing 30 million doses of the coronavirus
‘vaccines’ into the garbage because no one needs them. We have a big problem with demand.” Let me warn you,
people are NOT buying what the Butte County Board of Supervisors and Public Health are selling. Even Bill
Gates said, “The ‘vaccines’ don’t have much in the way of duration, and they’re not good at infection blocking.”
And Andrew Wakefield says, “72% of Americans are either not getting the first dose, not getting the second dose,
or not getting the booster. This is an abject failure on behalf of that vaccine program. Bill Gates is a broken
man…the public do not trust them anymore.” Which is what many in this community have been telling Board of
Supervisors for a long time. We have learned that these drugs are actually harming and killing people which has
also been exposed by the Pfizer documentation. And to make matters worse they actually spread the pandemic.
We don’t trust YOU or them! People are thinking logically and I believe YOUR and THEIR days are numbered.
I sent you the video of the “vaccine” injured. Hours after Danielle’s second dose of the Pfizer “vaccine” she fell ill.
She said, “I’m a shell of what I was.” Then she stood up as her body violently shook to show you what she now
has to go through everyday.
Then Angelina explained she began having convulsions and was unable to walk. She would beg her doctors,
“Please help me!”
Candace experienced painful burning and pricking in her legs and back three weeks after her second COVIID
“vaccine”. She spent 28 days in the hospital and was discharged without a diagnosis. It is not ethical that they
sent me home with a walker and an order for a potty chair,” she says.
“Why aren’t your hearts broken? This is a humanitarian crisis. People are suffering. It’s inhumane and not moral.
It could be your mother. It could be your child.” STOP the harm being perpetrated on our communities!
People are learning the truth and are suing over COVID mandates that hurt themselves and their families and
infringed on their constitutional and medical liberties. I believe YOU are going to loose as more and more people
are going to file more and more lawsuits. There is NO approved FDA “vaccine”. People were “tricked” into taking
the “vaccine” and abiding by harmful mandates such as covering their faces. Just as the World Health
Organization will learn there is NO treaty that overrides the Constitution. The Constitution is our absolute
protection. YOU must learn to abide by We the People. YOU can’t take away our GOD given rights. We were born
with them.
I recommend this Board and others including DA Ramsey stop saying, “It’s the law.” The only people who appear
to breaking the “law” are the public officials - not the People. COVID Code enforcement was illegal and I have
sent you countless documentation of the real laws of our land. Must I remind everyone of the Bay Area
Transparency, YouTube video, titled “THAT’S FINE! BRING IT!!!!!“ with almost 400,000 views where he claims,
“Worst behavior of public servants you have ever seen in your life”? This video is representative of Butte County
and it’s an embarrassment to our communities.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ_vBvYSbm4
It breaks my heart to watch the video I sent you of Dr. Paul Marik. He is the second most cited ICU doctor in the
USA. He broke down in tears talking about the humanitarian catastrophe that is being caused by COVID
“vaccine” side effects. It’s not a “vaccine” in the traditional sense. It’s an experimental gene therapy injection that
is maiming and killing people at an unprecedented rate. The consequences are going to be great on our society.
On the other hand it is deeply disturbing Board of Supervisors (and others) appear to not care what is happening
in our community and around the world, and I hope will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Your
indifference to other people’s pain is shocking, appalling and deeply saddens me. Especially since you have been
given a privileged position and should profoundly care about the people you serve.
Where is the Covid-19 Update on the Board of Supervisors’ agenda? You are appear to be trying to STOP this
message from getting out to the public. How can Board of Supervisors and Public Health promote and distribute a
“vaccine” under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) when you both claim there is NO emergency. “There may be
a United States Emergency Use authorization (EUA) for babies to five years old - I must conclude that we are
looking into an abyss of evil not seen since the 1945.” Naomi Wolf.
You must end ALL health emergencies, end any and ALL mandates, STOP this shot in Butte County, completely
and truthfully inform the public, and do NOT implement ANY mandates in the future. The Public is able to make
their own health decisions and do NOT need interference - especially from local government. You have NO legal
rights (perhaps have been) and will be practicing medicine without a license. There is NO emergency in Butte
County and NEVER has been an emergency regarding Covid-19.
Butte County Public Health is required by law to prove we were in an actual emergency and it’s the Board of
Supervisors’ job to make sure that this legal obligation was fulfilled. NO Butte County Health Officer has ever
attended and provided evidence, as required by law, to support a local health emergency. You have removed the
Covid-19 Update in Butte County; however, I watch the Covid-19 Update in other counties. This is a requirement
of law and it takes away the residents’ right to be informed and give their opinions and concerns which is a First
Amendment right and required by the Brown Act. I demand you place it back on the agenda until ALL health
emergencies have been eliminated and the Emergency Use Authorization Criteria is null and void and no
“vaccines” are allowed and a new set of laws will be in place. Ms. Danette York, Board of Supervisors, (and
others) need to be held liable for preventing evidence that does not provide the whole picture and information on
Covid-19. This is not informed consent, this is coercion, and I AM OUTRAGED AT THE COVID SHOT DEATHS
AND MANY INJURIES!
“There was an opportunity to limit the loss and none was taken. You are on a collision course with the
ALMIGHTY.” Dr. Fleming recently reported, “If you are an elected official and taken an oath or even a non elected
official that has been placed in a position of authority you have violated treaties, criminal statutes, liberties and
civil rights of Americans, U.S. Constitutional Law, and by definition you have committed treason. These are
criminal actions and people need to be held criminally responsible for their actions.”
It appears the government has caused an epidemic of suicides, bankruptcy, overdoses, domestic abuse, delayed
thousands of life saving surgeries, psychologically damaged generations of children, taken two years of freedom
from everyone, abolished the rule of law, created psychological and mental stress, and allowed many to die
without family members surrounding them (extremely cruel), and caused many other harms too numerous to list
here. Let me remind you NO ONE has been untouched by the COVID lies and deceit.
I ask that you educate yourselves on Stockholm Syndrome in which hostages develop a psychological bond with
their captors during captivity, psychological warfare techniques (being inflicted on our young people as well as
many others), How America Fell Victim to Mass Delusional Psychosis by Mark McDonald, Zimbardo’s Famous
Study on Stanford Prison Experiment (where guards were placed in a position of power and they began to
behave in ways they would not usually act in their everyday lives or other situations. Where the question was
asked: Do good people do bad or evil things?, the Asch Conformity Experiments where a series of studies were
conducted to see if and how individuals yielded to or defied a majority group and the effect of such influences on
beliefs and opinions. A study of conformity effects on people and their reactions, and the Milgrim Experiment
(obedience to authority figures which was a series of psychology experiments conducted by Yale University
psychologist Stanley Milgrim) to name a few. Then you and our law enforcement agencies should be familiarized
with Ordinary Men by Christopher Browning. He shows how “men were transformed psychologically from ordinary
men into active participants in the most monstrous crime in human history.”
Our Public Health Officials and local politicians know these “vaccines” are hurting healthy adults and children and
have not notified Butte County residents. A huge backlash and public outrage is coming as the true number of
deaths and injuries caused by the experimental “vaccines” is made known. “Watch out! You have never faced the
rage of thousands of mothers” warns Naomi Wolf. The Expose’ reported “12,548 children have suffered a serious
adverse event due to the COVID “Vaccines” in the USA; and 106 kids have sadly died,” dated May 4, 2022.
Karen Kingston offers “Gene therapy products are all products that mediate their effects by transcription and/or
translation of transferred genetic material and/or by integrating into the host genome and that are administered as
nuclei acids, viruses, or genetically engineered microorganisms. The products may be used to modify cells in
vivid or transferred to cells ex vivo before administration to the recipient. See section III of FDA’s guidance entitled
“Guidance for Industry: Gene Therapy Clinical Trials - Observing Subjects for Delayed Adverse Events” dated
November 2006.
herapy/ucm072957.html. She says, “these are bioweapons whose purpose is to poison, harm, and kill with their
own patents.” I have sent you and law enforcement agencies in Butte County these patents with NO response.
Still Butte County agencies and officials aren’t officially warning the Butte County residents about these and other
risks despite having been privy to this information for approximately two years or more. Butte County officials
have access to the same safety data we in the community have and this might be considered misconduct in
public office. Government is setup to protect the people - not harm them. So, when harm is committed they are
no longer acting in their official capacity they are acting in their personal capacity which could bring personal
liability they hadn’t anticipated. It’s irresponsible not to take action. We need to protect the children, the
vulnerable, and damaged.
A “vaccine” with reports of wayyyy over a million adverse events and deaths is NOT safe, effective, or free as
promoted by Butte County Board of Supervisors and Butte County Public Health as anyone can clearly see. The
center for Disease Control and Prevention released new data showing a total of 1,400,350 reports of adverse
events following COVID-19 vaccines between December 14, 2020 and September 2, 2022 up 14,952 up the
Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VARES). VARES is the primary government-funded system for
reporting adverse vaccine reactions in the U.S.
It is a voluntary reporting system for reporting adverse reactions to the U.S. and has been estimated to account
for only 1% of vaccine injuries. As of May 27, 16% of deaths occured within 24 hours of vaccination, 20% of
deaths occurred within 48 hours of vaccination, and 59% occurred in people who experienced an onset of
symptoms within 48 hours of being vaccinated.
Every Friday, VARES publishes vaccine injury reports received as of a specified date. Reports submitted to
VARES require further investigation before a causal relationship can be confirmed.
The data included a total of 30,796 reports of deaths - up 449 over the previous report. And 235,041 reports of
serious injuries - up 4,677 (old number) with tragic stories that never end. I sent this board an article from The
Expose’ dated May, 3, 2022 entitled “How many people have been murdered by the COVID-19 injection?” This
article includes 16 pages with links as one rather large example. No response from Butte County Board of
Supervisors, DA Ramsey, Sheriff Honea, or Butte County County Counsel.
NOTE: *Children have a 99.97% chance of recovering from COVID; however, if they DON’T get the shot they
have a 100% chance of NOT being vaccine injured! “A scientific study conducted by scientists from the U.S. Food
and Drug administration and the Centers for Disease Control found Covid-19 Vaccination increased Children’s
risk of suffering Myocarditis by over 13,000%.” Attorney Todd Callender, “Based on what we are seeing, the rates
right now are excess mortality of 84% and excess of every kind of disease at 1100%. We are expecting a 5,000%
or so increase in excess mortality for this year 2022. An enormous number.” Note: No claim is being made data
are accurate because of the fraud, lies, censorship, propaganda, etc. There is a lot of unexplainable data and
therefore may contain fraud in the analysis. Data have been observed disappearing in real time in both VARES
and DMED. Expert data collectors must concluded the real numbers will be massive. Many nefarious
opportunities have made their way into the COVID fraud and must be sorted out.
Dr. Cole says, “It is an absolute crime to inject this liquid into the arm of a child. There is no way we use our
children as human shields and guinea pigs when kids survive this virus statistically at 100%…a shot that is now
ALL risk with NO benefit.”
(7/29) U.S. VARES data for 6 month to 5- year olds show:
2,622 adverse events
81 rated as serious
3 reports of deaths
4 myocarditis and pericarditis (heart inflammation)
15 reports of blood clotting disorders
25 reports of seizures

47 reports of blood clotting disorders

Biden Administration makes available 10 million doses of COVID vaccine for kids under 5 - before FDA authorizes
shot!!!!!!! The White House unveiled its “Operational Plan” for vaccinating this group - one week before the U.S.
Food and Drug Administration are scheduled to meet for babies as young as 6 months old! The White House will
focus on parents, especially moms.
Legal Counsel Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. “The countermeasures, including the vaccines, were never about science or
public health.” “Now they have departed from common sense and into naked cruelty and barbarism. By
recommending an unapproved, experimental, zero-liability, and high-risk medical intervention for an illness that
poses zero statistical danger to that age group, the White House has made itself the enemy of America’s
children.”
“The Pharma gods have demanded child sacrifice and high priests of public health have offered a generation of
infants. Now more than ever, parents and physicians must step into the breach to protect our babies from our
government.” He put them on notice he (and others) are poised to take legal action. “Vaccines have a negative
net efficacy but puts them at risk of many adverse health consequences, including heart damage, stroke and
other thrombotic events and reproductive harms.” Children under 5 could begin receiving the vaccines as early as
the week of June 20th.
As of May 27, 5,559 pregnant women reported adverse events related to COVID vaccines, including 1,740
reports of miscarriage or premature birth; and it was recently reported “4,154 fetal deaths reported in VARES
following COVID-19 vaccines”.
We know Covid-19 vaccines do NOT prevent infection or viral transmission and natural immunity is robust and far
superior. In addition to VARES website we have the Yellow Card (1,490,271 injuries and 2,132 deaths through
May 27, 2022), Eudra System (44,518 dead and 4,269,225 injuries through May 22, 2022) whistleblowers, DMED
data, insurance documentation (data shows 40% increase in death of people under 64 and calls this the worse
coverup in human history & includes other injuries), Senator Ron Johnson’s Senate Hearing on COVID-19: A
Second Opinion with world renowned doctors and medical experts, U.S. Senate expert witness testimony states
there are 410,000 unexplained deaths in Americans. RFK Jr. shows, “Why the COVID-19 jab is the most deadly
vaccine in history.” I also sent you Dr. Mike Yeadon, The COVID Lies with his resources.
Coronavirus vaccines would have been withdrawn from the market due to the UNACCEPTABLY high mortality
rate. Usually a vaccine is withdrawn from the market after 50 deaths or less. VARES is supposed to act as an
EARLY WARNING SYSTEM and no one is being given legal INFORMED CONSENT which is a violation of our
laws, the Nuremberg Code (known as the Code of Regulations), as well as many others including but not limited
to 21 U.S. Code 360bbb-3. Voluntary consent is essential! Almost 1,300 side effects including death have been
reported by Pfizer data and no one in their right mind would knowingly take this kind of chance with their health.
Del Bigtree says, “Probably 250,000 people have been murdered by the Covid-19 shot.”
Butte County Board of Supervisors (and others) appear to have broken many state and federal laws by faking a
medical emergency for funding.
18 U.S. Code 1040 - Fraud in connection with major disaster or emergency for benefits to get funding. This is a
crime and you could be charged with 30 years in prison.
18 U.S Code 1038 - False information and hoaxes. The hoax in this case there is NO emergency. The penalty
could be life in prison.
CA Health and Safety Code 101080 - Requires you by law to terminate the emergency at the earliest date.
Penal Code 148.3 - False reporting an emergency. There is NO emergency.
Title 18 U.S.C. Section 242 - It’s a crime to willfully deprive a person of a right or privilege under the Constitution
by local officials. You could be imprisoned up to life.
Government Code 8630 - Requires termination of the emergency at the earliest date.
42 U.S. Code 1986 - Action for neglect to prevent…
Title U.S.C. Code Section 241 - Conspiracy against rights…
Government Code Section 8630 - Calling for an emergency when there really isn’t one.
HSC Div., 105, Part 1, Chapter 3, Section 120175.5 - Not providing relevant information regarding communicable
diseases.
Emergency Services Act 8558b - Calling for an emergency when there are NO legal grounds.
Disaster Fraud
We the People DO NOT approve of unlawful actions by the Butte County Board of Supervisors (or others).
Money is NOT a reason to put Butte County residents and their children in harms way.
The pandemic was a hoax created by a fake PCR test (which can not diagnose), fake news and unscientific
science. NONE of the tests are approved or validated. They all are under emergency use authorization (EUA).
This level of malfeasance (wrongdoing or misconduct especially by public officials) has never happened in our
history. “Australia is admitting COVID shots are harming people and they are offering up to $600,000 in
compensation.”
The scientific facts are clear: Masks, lockdowns, social distancing and vaccines have all proven failures and must
stop! The harm especially perpetrated on our youth is unconscionable. These catastrophic mistakes will not be
able to be covered up. Butte County Board of Supervisors had the opportunity to decide not to lockdown our
county and tell ALL businesses they are essential. You should have backed your local businesses not harmed
them with silly mandates. Uphold the constitution - it’s the law of the land! You answer to We the People, and we
demand more out of our public servants.
Masks cause carbon dioxide poisoning, significant and possibly permanent damage to a child’s brain, drop in I.Q.
points reported in newborns, lowers I.Q in other age groups (Children born during the pandemic reportedly lost
as many as 21 I.Q. points.), retards speech and language development, cripples social skills, and has lead to
depression, self harm, substance abuse, increase in suicides, and crime due largely to the lockdowns, masking,
and social distancing. In addition, masks violate CA Education Code 49005.1 and CA Education Code Sec (4)
49005.8 (a) and is child abuse. “Watch out! You have never faced the rage of thousands of mothers!” Naomi Wolf

You appear to be aiding, abetting, and violating your oath of office you have sworn to uphold. I implore this board
to do the right thing and STOP promoting unethical human experimentation and stop the “vaccines” in Butte
County.
Board of Supervisors have the authority to rescind all health orders, mandates, and “‘vaccines” in Butte County.
They are morally, ethically, and legally obligated to warn their constituents of the dangers these shots present to
the people in Butte County and their children. The office of the Board of Supervisors serves to preserve, protect,
and defend the Constitutions of the United States and California. Board of Supervisors have a duty to faithfully
execute our laws not to repeatedly engage in conduct that violates the Constitutional rights of the citizens of Butte
County. When there is fraud immunity disappears. It is null and void and there is no statue of limitations on fraud.
What is the official safe limit in terms of deaths and injuries reported to be the actual numbers that is deemed
acceptable, above and beyond which the program must be stopped given that the Covid-19 “vaccines” are stated
to be “SAFE*EFFECTIVE*FREE” by Butte County Public Health and Board of Supervisors? Tell us what is the
official safe limit in terms of deaths and injuries reported?
The fallout of the pandemic is going to be catastrophic - especially on the children! The “vaccines” are deadly and
cause severe injuries at alarming rate and therefore must be stopped in Butte County. If Butte County residents
are not getting educated how do they make an informed decision?

I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING DEMANDS of BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AND BUTTE COUNTY
PUBLIC HEALTH:
1.) “We declare and the data confirm that the COVID-19 experimental genetic therapy injections must end.”
Global Covid Summit
2.) Provide proof with real information and facts that these “vaccines” are SAFE*EFFECTIVE*FREE as promoted
by Butte County Board of Supervisors and Butte County Public Health.
3.) I demand answers to questions that this Board and Public Health have failed to answer. I barely scratched the
surface of the questions we need answered as a community in 4.05 Termination of local health emergency dated
5/24/22.
4.) Put the Covid-19 Update back on the agenda and allow the public to speak on this matter and receive honest,
real, and factual information.
5.) I demand allegiance to the Constitution or leave office.
Let me warn you, when a demand is made and not followed there is no immunity, and where there is evidence of
a misdemeanor being committed and you do nothing you become part of the crime.
Edward Dowd: “Monkeypox is merely a distraction: These people are trying everything they can to avoid being
jailed, and a lot of things you’re going to see in the media are distractions to cover that up. This recent monkeypox
nonsense; they’re going to try to lock down the economy right before the elections. You have to think of what’s
happened with the ‘vaccines’ and the excess mortality. A lot of bad people are going to go to jail.”

There's no good justification for favoring some rural communities over others when it comes to public safety.
Residents of Berry Creek deserve the same, year-round, protection and public safety response times as those in
Forest Ranch. Same for Stirling City and Concow/Yankee Hill. It also makes no sense to demonize Cal Fire for
work or wage changes to retain or recruit staff when this County has done the same thing ... raised compensation
to retain and recruit staff. However, to its disgrace, this County has cut existing public safety in order to raise pay
for staff. Please be prepared to adjust this budget and include the three, Amador stations you've left out. We’ll
see you on the 27th to make this same request.

The recommendations make sense for the most part and should help keep the proactively enforced areas cleaner
and safer.
But I would like to see the proactive enforcement also include areas zoned Timber Mountain (160-ac min) within
10 miles of cities or communities burned by the Camp Fire or the North Complex Fire.
For example, proactive enforcement should apply to all Timber Mountain (160-ac min) parcels within 10 miles of
Berry Creek.
It's an affront to people striving to rebuild to enforce building permit requirements for them while turning a blind
eye to all the illegal cannabis structures around them. Not only that, the heavy traffic, behaviors, and practices of
larger, illegal, growers further degrade roads, streams and public safety in these areas struggling to recover from
wildfire. It’s time to end the Wild West of illegal grows in areas we’re trying to rebuild. Only proactive
enforcement will do that.
I support the recommendations with modification to also extend proactive enforcement to parcels zoned Timber
Mountain (160-ac min) within 10 miles of towns and communities devastated by recent wildfires.

I'd like to amend my eComment for item 4.04 as follows: Extend proactive enforcement to all zones within 10
miles of towns and communities devastated by recent wildfires. This is more comprehensive than specifying
specific zones around our fire-impacted communities.

I love and support Stonewall Alliance of Chico because they do amazing work in our
community. My family and I love to attend their events because they are so welcoming and
loving to everyone!
Honestly, we have a lot of hate and fear of LGBTQ people in our community. My child's friend
was just un-friended by her best friend for coming out as gay. She's just a kid and is being
rejected for who she is by a family who purports to be "loving of all people." She is so sad and
we are devastated for her. Stonewall provides support for kids like this and education for the
family that un-friended her. We need Stonewall!
I know that their funding contract is up for renewal with the Board of Supervisors (current
agenda item 3.13) and I hope you will vote to approve it. Our community will suffer if
Stonewall goes away.

Hello,
(Please redact my email address in any public posting of this comment, but do leave my

I am submitting for public comment my enthusiastic and unwavering support for Stonewall
Alliance. They do so much for our community and are absolutely essential. There are many
people alive today because of all Stonewall does to support LGBTQ+ individuals and the
people that love them. They are filled with love and positivity, and I can't think of a more
deserving organization to continue to fund. Please continue funding this life-saving
organization and, in fact, I would support increasing their funding to the maximum extent
possible.
Thank you so much for your time and service considering the needs of our community.
All the best,
Allison J McConnell

To whom it may concern,
Chico's Stonewall Alliance Center is such a wonderful, valuable, and much needed resource in
Butte County. From the educational resources, the community building, and free resources it
offers to vulnerable members of our community, it has enriched and saved the lives of so
many.
To even consider taking away or providing less funding to something so important would
show a lack of compassion and education on the board's part. Please do not let the ill informed
opinions of some negatively impact the lives of so many who depend on Stonewall.

Subject: Objection to Item 3.13 - no contract with Stonewall Alliance
Dear Directors,
I am writing to urge you to vote NO on the proposed contract which would provide taxpayer
dollars to Stonewall Alliance of Chico. Since a lawsuit was filed against CUSD in January, I
have been very involved in what is happening in our schools and in that process I have
become extremely well-versed on transgenderism which is a dangerous and destructive
philosophy. I have also witnessed Stonewall employees and their affiliates in destructive and
dangerous and vile behaviors. They bully and mob people. They shout down dissenting
voices and call names. They threaten violence against others, openly and proudly. They tell
lies. Terrible, egregious, catastrophic lies that are destroying the lives and bodies of Chico's
children as we speak. They turn children against their parents and celebrate the broken family.
They brainwash people in the most literal, textbook sense. They pretend to be about love and
"inclusion" but they are hateful and angry and vengeful. Their beliefs are anti-scientific and
destructive. They are directly responsible for the destruction of countless lives in Chico and
their target is children. No one is born in the wrong body, ever! That phrase alone is evidence
of their vile corruption and intentional manipulation. The psychological catastrophe that
ensues should be punishable by jail time for whoever utters those words.
I know it's "pride month" and undoubtedly that is partially why staff is suggesting that you
grant them this contract without even considering competing groups (which is exceedingly
corrupt, by the way - there are LOTS of groups out there that can perform mental health
support and whatever else Stonewall is promising.) I, too, have witnessed people increasingly
speaking out against "pride" and I suggest to you that this is an objection to the "T" in LGBT.
Chico is a liberal and welcoming community. There have been no objections to LGB
concerns in many years. But parents are objecting to the destructive nature of transgenderism
and Stonewall is at the heart of this movement. Children are suffering psychological damage,
physical harm, chemical castration and genital mutilation and families are being destroyed as a
result of the cultist philosophies that this group fosters. You are literally about to open the
gates to the Trojan Horse. Please, do not do this!
It is not necessary to be a conservative or a republican to recognize that transgenderism is a
hoax and an avalanche of lawsuits are already waiting in the wings because the "science" of it
is indefensible and ridiculous and has broken thousands of bodies. The number of de-
transitioners on the infamous subreddit is growing daily and already over 47k. Democrats,
people of good heart, recognize that the policies of transgenderism have placed our youth and
our women in great peril in many ways and we object to it. There was a "trans girl" (a boy) in
the locker room at PVHS watching girls change in this school year - he didn't even pretend to
hide his voyeurism and the school supported him and told the girls to get over it. I can
introduce you to the girl that this happened to if you want to know more!
You can still be good Democrats and recognize that biology is real. It must be ok for girls to
be masculine and boys to be feminine without insisting that they should then drug themselves,
carve up their healthy bodies, invade the private spaces of others, or confuse themselves
endlessly. These people need real mental health services to help them come to terms with
their healthy bodies, not Stonewall activists to convince them to destroy their healthy bodies in
a quest to make their body match a deluded self-perception. The latter, unfortunately, is
Stonewall's stock in trade. They support the delusion. Their proposal is to provide
"prevention, education and outreach" which are euphemisms for intervention in natural
childhood puberty (chest binders and referrals to local doctors to prescribe drugs),
brainwashing kids and "rescuing" children from their loving parents! These people are in no
way qualified to help people! They are activists, not health care providers! Did you know that
"gender affirmation" is fundamentally just acceptance of the self-diagnosis of a patient? It's an
absurd proposition. There is no logical rationale to support this madness from any
perspective, which is why their only arguments consist of calling people names if they speak
out. And our government has been hijacked at every level to support it but this must stop.
Your job is to lead Butte County, not just rubber stamp every corrupt idea out of Sacramento.
If you ignore this and approve this contract with Stonewall, you will go down in history as the
people who hand over the keys to the kingdom to the barbarians who wish to castrate and
mutilate our children. This is not hyperbole! After the CUSD Board voted (after being
mobbed by Stonewall) to keep the policy that allows them to hide gender transition from
parents, we asked them to at least confirm that while they have the right to hide it, at least they
will not FACILITATE it. They refused. They refused to confirm that they would not take
action to facilitate a gender transition behind a loving parent's back. Let that sink in.
There are so many resources out there to educate yourselves about the dangers of
transgenderism and I am happy to offer several if you like. The activists at Stonewall would
call them propaganda but they are lying to get you to refuse to educate yourselves. That is
fascism, by the way ... a movement that does not tolerate dissenting opinions. Watch this
video, if for no other reason than to prove that you are open to considering all viewpoints. I'd
suggest starting with this 90 minute documentary about several de-transitioners:
https://www.bitchute.com/video/vY5iRgnw9LGx/
Vote NO on this agreement and require staff to go out and solicit other offers to provide these
services. Any group that exists solely to "support and foster transgender youth" should be an
automatic no. Protect our children, please!

Subject: In reference to Agenda Item 3.13
To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Ashley Michelle Arnold. For more than a decade, I have made my home in Chico—
and, in fact, it is the first place which ever truly felt like home to me. I was proud to raise my
family here, and Chico left such a solid impression on me that I eventually brought my
youngest sibling out from the Midwest to join me so that she could attend high school in an
area that would embrace their artistic side and help them bloom into the amazing young
person they are today.
My sibling is also why I am writing this email. A year after the Camp Fire hit, disrupting their
freshman year of high school, my sibling disclosed their true authentic identity: that of my
sister. I was thrilled by this development; I’d always wanted a sister, and more importantly, I
saw my sister for the first time. The brilliant, brave, determined individual who had found the
courage to be her real self. While I wasn’t the first person my sister came out to, I was the first
member of our family, and I took it upon myself to stand as the buffer between my sister and
the relatives who I knew would not react well.
Through out that process, Stonewall Alliance Center proved to be an invaluable resource. We
received education, support, and guidance across areas neither my sister nor I knew to
navigate alone. The information was necessary, if a bit overwhelming at times, and the
support was unmatched—very few people could understand the journey my sister was on, or
the struggles I had in trying to balance my enthusiasm at her emerging personality with the
fear that had taken root deep in my heart. My sister was born when I was 19, and in those first
few hours of her life, I promised her I would always look out for her. I saw protecting her as
my job, first as her big sister, and then later, as her legal guardian.
Never in a million years would I have ever anticipated that protecting her would mean doing
so against the city I had come to love, that I had insisted would welcome her with open arms.
As much as I love my sister, I know appealing to the emotions of strangers with the anecdotal
experience will likely fail to yield the shift in perspective that is necessary for a compassionate
response. Across the world, groups are marshalling to ensure LGBT*QIA+ individuals are
reminded of their status as other, and tucked back away into the shadows without the same
inalienable rights afforded to all of us. Those of us who belong to the community, even in the
form of allies, are well prepared for the time ahead when we will need to channel the struggle
into organized action to defend those rights.
But the community of Chico, and the larger Butte County, is absolutely not ready for the
consequences that will result from the closure of Stonewall, or the cessation of its funds.
To put it simply, the defunding of Stonewall Alliance Center, in whole or part, would be
disastrous for Chico and the surrounding communities. They provide crucial education to the
community at large, and their public health services were essential to helping some of the
area's most vulnerable community members survive and navigate the pandemic. The
unconsidered consequences include a chilling effect on mental health clinicians working to
complete their hours of professional development and training; a significant number of CSU
and Butte graduates choose to complete their supervision hours through Stonewall. In a rural
area which is already experiencing a lack of qualified, competent professionals to meet the
ever-increasing demand for mental health services, the loss of any funding to Stonewall will
push the struggle into full-blown crisis mode.
There are those of us who try to avoid peddling rhetoric in games of brinkmanship, but the
unresolved trauma of the Camp Fire and the pandemic have exhausted what resources this
area has--when it comes to public health concerns, Stonewall is the only option for many.
They offer their services regardless of someone's ability to pay or their identity, and as a
result, they are the only true available and accessible option for care among the most
vulnerable populations. The consequences of losing any facet of Stonewall's services
unquestionably spells disaster for an area that's still traumatized and underserved. No service
provider, public or private, has the capacity to absorb the overflow of individuals who depend
on Stonewall, and the impacts on the social fabric of Chico will be similarly catastrophic.
Empirically and historically, towns and cities which lose a clearinghouse of resources akin to
what Stonewall provides (to a constituency of more than 1 million people across numerous
counties, according to their Candid profile) see dramatic upticks in poverty, homelessness, and
illness.
The communal welfare of the immediate area demands that Stonewall Alliance Center be
protected—and that includes safeguarding the funding so that they may continue serving an
area critically in need. Do not make the mistake of sentencing this area to even more
degradation and suffering. As a person who owns a home here, who lives and works here, I
say: we deserve better.
Sincerely,
Ashley Michelle Arnold

To whom it may concern,
I urge you to please renew Stonewalls contract with Behavioral Health. Having this contract allows Stonewall to
continue to offer educational trainings, do community outreach and provide in office support groups. This work is
essential in reducing stigma and potential harm that would come from not having resources available. These peer
groups are invaluable to persons who feel alone, discriminated, bullied and unseen as they help provide resources
and give a sense of community to otherwise underrepresented community’s. The contract between Stonewall and
Butte County Behavioral Health not only enhances the quality of lives but it saves and educate lives, please help
them continue their work with our community.
A concerned citizen,
Christian Lucero

Greetings,
I am a human sexuality educator and research at Chico State University. I would like to address
Agenda Item 3.13 in support of Stonewall Alliance Outreach Services. Stonewall Alliance is
saving lives of youth across the north state. They educate youth, families, educators and the
community at large, creating more affirming environments for youth to thrive. Many of these
kids do not have supportive home or school environments. Stonewall works tirelessly to
provide education and advocacy to ensure that all youth in our community can thrive. Please
vote in support of stonewall!

Dear Clerk of the Board,
I just wanted to extend my support for Stonewall Alliance of Chico and let you know what a
valuable resource they have been to LGBTQ youth and adults in the North State. I am in
support of this organization as a teacher, as an advisor of the Spartan OUTreach program and
as a parent of a trans child that has utilized their services on more than one occasion. My trans
child attends CSU, Chico and without the support of Stonewall, would not be thriving as much
as they are.
Please don't let this invaluable resource go away.
Sincerely,

Hi there,
I would like to add a comment for item 3.13 that is being discussed on the board, regarding StoneWall Chico and
Butte County Behavioral Health;
“Stonewall Chico has been a vital resource for health education and LGBTQ+ support in the Chico community.
They have done outreach, support workshops, classes, performances, trainings, and have made an incredibly
positive impact on the welfare and growth of the community. I am a recently graduated Chico State student and
Stonewall has been a place where I could reach out to people who knew what I was going through as a queer student
and provide resources to feel safe and supported. They have made strides in terms of public education on gender,
sexuality, relationships, advocacy, allyship, health and wellness, mental health, womens rights, and so much more.
They are out here doing the work and making Chico an even better place to live. Your support for them shows the
Chico community that everyone deserves to feel safe, loved, and supported and I ask you to please renew their
contract with Butte County Behavioral Health because they need to do the work that they do.”
Thank you for reading. I hope you have a great day today.
Sincerely,
Harrie Schaufel

Subject: Proposed contract with Stonewall Alliance
To the Butte County Board of Supervisors.
From James Bishop (CORE Butte Charter Board member)
Greetings.
This is regarding the upcoming vote on a proposed contract with Stonewall Alliance.
I can understand how a neutral, well-intentioned person inspired by a desire to promote kindness
and positive mental health among students might perceive Stonewall from a distance and assume
they are a positive influence in our community. I might have found myself in such a position several
years ago. But these impressions, on closer inspection, are utterly destroyed by the facts.
First, I would like to share my observations of the Stonewall community made at a recent CUSD
board meeting. Next, I will provide some context that helps to understand the real influence and
impact that Stonewall is having on our community.
I attended CUSD board meetings on March 8, April 5 and April 19 which addressed the topics of
parental secrecy and the related lawsuit. At the last of these meetings, I read the following
statement:
I wanted to share my observations of the last board meeting:
The Parents focused their comments on the secrecy policy - If they referenced the trans community at all
they made neutral or supportive remarks.
They listened respectfully to the speakers they didn’t agree with. Outbursts were limited to defensive
comments like “Stop interrupting“ or “Let them speak”.
I also observed that the trans activist community seemed triumphant – they outnumbered the parents and
employed thunderous applause or booing and cat calls to create a fairly intimidating environment.
Therefore, it seemed odd that they felt the need to respond to parents with mocking and ridicule. Particular
targets of derision were comments about parental rights deriving from nature, nature’s God, the
constitution; that sort of thing. The ridicule seemed to be directed at the parent's values.
One pointed example was a mother sobbing before the community – clearly mourning the break with her
child who was present – and in agony because she could not affirm choices she believed would lead to
harm. The activist community had no empathy or compassion for this person but only more ridicule and
derision - apparently because they disagreed with her sincerely held beliefs and the actions they led her to.
We have a name for this hostility toward people, because of their values, culture or religious belief. It’s
called bigotry. And actions to intimidate, hurt, punish, and silence we called bullying.
As if to ensure this was the only conclusion a reasonable person could reach, Lindsey Briggs, the wife of
Andrea Mox, the director of Stonewall Alliance, followed up the meeting with an online posting celebrating
the evening’s success and punctuated with a cartoon depicting, a woman, pointing a gun and quoting “Not
gay as in happy. But queer as in ‘fuck you’“.
Message received.
So, my observation was that the activist community centered around Stonewall is objectively, hateful, cruel,
bigoted, and prone to merciless bullying.
Question: why would any parent, school board or school district superintendent want people like that
around their children?
I don’t believe they would. Therefore, I am committing myself to systematically sharing my observations
with the Chico community - as a warning against Stonewall and trans activism - together with facts about
misdiagnosis and the collapse of Tavistock among other relevant topics.
I have already started.
This is enough to disqualify Stonewall from receiving county funding but looking at the larger context
they sit within strengthens the point. Stonewall is participating in an activist community that has
been objectively implicated in mass misdiagnosis and victimization of children and adolescents. This
can be established to the satisfaction of any reasonable person by listening to only people from the
LGBTQ community and to counselors, clinicians, and psychologists who have spoken out about the
harm being done. To honor your time, I have provided links below with timestamps that provide a
minimal overview of the information one needs to engage these topics intelligently. Of course, I
hope this will encourage you to dig deeper and I would be happy to meet with any of you or present
in any context you might find helpful.
Thank you,
James Bishop

First is the recent history of the Tavistock clinic in the UK and the Gender Identity Development
Services (GIDS) which was launched a few decades ago and grew to become the largest gender clinic
in the world.
Dr. Marcus Evans was a Tavistock director whose wife worked in GIDS and they became one of
several whistleblowers whose testimony led the high court to shut GIDS down. Dr Evans here shares
how pressure from activists like Mermaids and Gender Intelligence has corrupted the clinical
practice at Tavistock, leading to mass misdiagnosis, more than 1000 lawsuits filed by former
patients, and the intervention of the court:

Triggernometry Podcast – Watch intro
Remarks made by Vanderbilt University Medical Center faculty and staff help to explain why trans
activists have found such a warm reception from hospital administrators:
Dr. Shayne Taylor of Vanderbilt University Medical Center explains how gender transition surgery is a
"big money maker". “These surgeries are labor intensive, there are a lot of follow-ups, they
require a lot of our time, and they make money,” “They make money for the hospital.” Taylor
continued, saying vaginoplasty surgeries can generate $20,000 and a “chest reconstruction” can
bring in $40,000 per patient, and someone “just on routine hormone treatment, who I’m only seeing
a few times a year, can bring in several thousand dollars … and actually makes money for the
hospital.” Some clinics are “entirely” “supported” financially by phalloplasty surgeries. “And the
female-to-male bottom surgeries, these are huge money makers,” adding that such surgeries could
bring in “up to $100,000” for the hospital.
Vanderbilt health law expert Ellen Wright Clayton warned that “If you are going to assert
conscientious objection, you have to realize that that is problematic,” “You are doing something to
another person, and you are not paying the cost for your belief. I think that is a…real issue.” “I just
want you to take home that saying that you’re not going to do something because of your
conscientious — because of your religious beliefs, is not without consequences, and should not
be without consequences,”
Even if these comments were not considered offense on their face, they certainly point to powerful
incentives that would predictably distort scientific perceptions and corrupt policy making if not
matched by additional countervailing incentives.

My assertion is that Stonewall is playing an analogous role in the schools to activist organizations
like Mermaids and Gender Intelligence in the medical industry. In 2017 Dr. Lisa Littman at Brown
University published a study based on interviews with parents in which she introduced the term
Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria. This referred to a sudden sharp rise in adolescent girls claiming a
transgender identity or seeking gender treatment, usually in social groups, and with no history of
gender dysphoria. You can find a great introduction to Dr Littman and her research here – start at
4:45:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7FI6_OKrzc&ab_channel=BenjaminABoyce
This was corroborated by a recent, much larger study co-authored by Dr. Michael Bailey who is
interviewed here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHqDGVRzoGk&t=3792s&ab_channel=AWiderLens
Gender: A Wider Lens Podcast
Dr. Lisa Littman also influenced Abigale Schrier’s important book, Irreversible Damage, which is an
extraordinarily comprehensive investigation into all facets of this issue and should be read by all
parents, educators, and administrators:
https://www.amazon.com/Irreversible-Damage-Transgender-Seducing-
Daughters/dp/B084YC53BR/ref=sr_1_1
It’s important to mention the efforts of gender activists to censor this information and pressure
institutions to fire or otherwise punish those they disagree with. Dr. Littman and Dr. Bailey
describe their experiences with activists in the podcasts above as did Dr. Evans of Tavistock. What is
particularly chilling is the participation of the tech platforms and businesses in censorship. Abigale
Schrier added an introduction to her book detailing the fascinating plight of her book – here’s an
excerpt:
“And yet, despite these efforts at censorship, the book succeeded. Parents who had lived through the
phenomenon I described read it and gave it to friends. The intellectual class had ignored the book, but
parents who’d witnessed this craze up close, seen what a hash it had made of their daughters’ lives—they
were done listening to experts. They took to social media to promote the book and encouraged others to
buy it. Parents even started a GoFundMe to put up billboards across the country to promote the book.
GoFundMe—which at the time of this writing hosts over thirty thousand fundraisers to enable young
women to remove their healthy breasts—shut the parents’ effort down.”
There are important parallels here with what I observed from Stonewall.
It's also important to reiterate that ALL of the clinicians, doctors and researchers I reference here
have a history of alliance with the LGBTQ community and the parents interviewed overwhelmingly
identify as left-wing progressives. Whatever role conservative news agencies or political
organizations or LGBTQ critics may have in this debate, their voices are irrelevant to what I have
shared here and not needed to make my point.
Finally, to bring this back to Chico, we should first mention the experiences of Aurora Regino and
her daughter which are the subject of a current lawsuit against CUSD. The claims being made here
are that an 11-year-old girl, after a brief meeting with a Sierra View Elementary counselor that
started on the topic of a death in the family and ended with the girl remarking “I feel like a boy”, was
walked to class and affirmed in a male gender and pronouns in front of her peers. The daughter later
stated that she told the counselor she wanted to tell her mom but was encouraged to “come out to
other people first”. The daughter further stated she “felt pressured to say ‘yes’” to the proposal of
social transition. She was offered a breast binder and directed to support groups in town to help her
with her transition. Aurora’s daughter “is now seeing another school counselor who believes she was
manipulated”. Again, this was an 11-year-old girl, and the school claimed it was policy to inform
everyone in the community except the parent.
In a related story, the mother of an 11-year-old Blue Oak Charter School student, contacted Action
News Now complaining that her son arrived home explaining that class had consisted of a visit from
Stonewall in which the students were introduced to terms like ‘bisexual’ and ‘pansexual’. The
parent’s specific complaint was that she were not notified and , upon investigation, discovered that
Blue Oak’s was indeed NOT notify parents of these classes:
https://www.actionnewsnow.com/video/lgbtq-curriculum-frustrates-middle-school-parents-at-blue-
oak-charter/video_1fd28618-33b8-5460-8516-73c1afdae2cb.html
In a Chico Sol article Andrea Mox, director of Stonewall, responds to this exclusion of parents by
explaining “This is not sex ed…It’s about gender and other information…When we do this training,
it’s LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transexual, Queer) 101 basically.
https://chicosol.org/2022/11/13/chicos-stonewall-responds-parent-complaint-media-report/
So, in summary, Stonewall Alliance appears to be the first step in an activist effort of introducing
questions in young children’s minds about their gender, fishing for those who exhibit confusion,
encouraging them to socially transition and directing them to counseling and medicalization
resources, all while intentionally excluding parents from the process. These counseling and
medicalization resources then bring parents in, explain that failing to affirm the child’s stated gender
identity is a severe suicide risk and recommend puberty blockers. Of those who begin blockers, 90%
go on to hormones. Of those who begin hormones, half proceed to surgery. This process, which a
growing number of clinician whistleblowers and de-transitioners refer to the “trans train”, is rigidly
adhered to and reinforced by all sorts of carrots and sticks. The end, according to a growing body of
research, is sterility, loss of sexual function, loss of healthy organs, reduced bone density,
reduced cognitive ability and a host of other problems. And, unlike the Dutch protocol, which
appears to have achieved some mental health improvements from transition by carefully
screening patients for autism, homosexuality, comorbid mental health issues and investigating
family history of gender dysphoria, the “affirmative approach” is predictably drawing in 100X+
more people and not improving mental health outcomes. This is why multiple European nations,
on the heels of the Tavistock closure, are restricting the use of “puberty blockers, cross-sex
hormones, and transition-related surgery” to clinical trials only:

Subject: Stonewall item
Hello! Please enter my comments into public record if possible? Thank you!
Stonewall is a critical resource for Chico and Butte County residents, including my family.
They serve an important role in providing support and information for our entire community.
LGBTQ Children and children of LGBTQ family members are regular targets of bullying,
hate speech, assaults, and emotional torture. They also have a high rate of suicide and suicide
attempts in comparison of our non-lgbtq area youth.
What makes the difference for a child or young adult in making that decision to take their own
life IS having support and access to accurate information. This support and resource access
point is often found ONLY from Stonewall.
I am highly concerned about the current anti-trans trend flooding our nation.
We have a group right here in Butte County that is spearheading an actual attack on our
LGTBQ children. They will be attending the meeting today, and speaking to you in negative
reference regarding Stonewall and ultimately speaking negatively about extremely vulnerable
children.
Please see around the political agenda with this hot topic. Think of the children that this
wonderful nonprofit serve. Think of how limited these children already are in having a safe
place to go for support and help. Think of the daily bullying that they absolutely experience
while just going to school or dream of participating in extra-curricular activities. Please, help
be someone that they can look to and thank for making a positive difference in their life.
The people of Stonewall are dedicated to our kids. They are dedicated to breaking down walls
of discrimination and misinformation.
Some have called them bullies to non-lgbtq supporters, some will accuse them of conditioning
or influencing or any other blanket accusation, when in reality these very brave employees and
volunteers are doing their very best as making the future for these children just a bit more
positive and supportive. They are working hard to ensure that our LGBTQ children and young
adults HAVE A FUTURE.
If you have a child in your life, and most of us do, please imagine your child at the mercy of a
community split and divided on supporting them. Imagine your child being called a CREEP,
just for going to their PE class. As a mom, this absolutely breaks my heart! Imagine your little
baby being called a PERVERT by grown adults because their confusion about transgender
leads them to speak out publicly from a place of fear rather than a place of accurately
informed truth.
Stonewall serves these people in our community too. Stonewall is a positive force that needs
your continued support, and in this time of political turmoil they will need your support even
more.
Please remember that our communities are made up of so many diverse people. Please show a
strong sense of unity from the county supervisor dias for that diversity and equality.
Thank you for your time, efforts, and leadership in our community.

Dear Butte County Board of Supervisors,
We’re writing to express the importance of No funding be given to the bullies of the Stone Alliance organization.
Their behavior at recent school board meeting was reprehensible. No public money should ever go towards funding
this hateful group. Their tactics are the opposite of inclusive and should not be awarded any kind of contract with
Butte County.

Dear Board of Supervisors,
It's come to my attention that funding for Stonewall may be in jeopardy. As a parent of a
transgender daughter,
Stonewall Chico was instrumental in helping us navigate a very difficult time in our lives. We
gained support,
understanding, a safe place to be heard, and resources. Most importantly, my daughter felt
heard and seen.
Any funding directed at Stonewall is utilized to further educating our community and for
offering a safe space
for our youth and adult LGBTQ+ members. During this time where people like my daughter
feel attacked and
unsafe in their own communities, an organization like Stonewall is needed more than ever.
Please listen to those voices who care and understand.
Thank you,
Julie Anderson-Nilsson

Subject: Stonewall Alliance
Dear Board of Supervisors,
Please do not sign a contract and provide tax payer dollars to support Stonewall Alliance. Our
tax dollars already fund the salaries for counselors who are on campus and who are tasked
with supporting the needs of all CUSD students. We don’t hire groups to come on campus and
support other groups of students and thus this contract would be unfair to students who have
other special needs. Moreover, this group is run by aggressive bullies who EXCLUDE anyone
not in their circle. They DO NOT demonstrate the qualities that would foster a safe and
inclusive environment for all students. I have witnessed their members in action at school
board meetings and at community events. I have watched as they mock, verbally abuse and
bully people who are not in their group. The youth who are with them watch and participate in
these behaviors. How is healing a community?
This funding would be an action that further promotes hate and division. How can such a
group actually help the group they intend to serve when their agenda isn’t inclusivity but
rather domination? They promote parental secrecy which has already landed the district in the
middle of a federal lawsuit. Dividing children and parents is a terrible thing to support.
Additionally, it’s irresponsible to have volunteers with unknown credentials advising students
on such sensitive topics. Providing breast binders, for example, is something ONLY a
licensed physician should do after much discussion with patient and family. This alliance has
handed these binders out on campuses. That is reckless and dangerous! Anyone helping kids
on a school campus should be properly credentialed and certified. That’s what we pay for and
that’s what we should get. Not a special interest group. Would you fund a religious group to
come help these students? Of course not. This move would fall into the same category.
We have many financial needs in this county. Please don’t allocate any of our strained and
needed tax dollars to fund this group of bullies. The children who need support can be better
served by adding additional paid, licensed counselors to school campuses.
Respectfully,
Karin Willhoit

To the Board of Supervisors
I am writing to show support for the Stonewall Alliance organization and all the educational work and services they
provide the community. If any public comment time for agenda item 3:13 is used to bully, belittle, condemn or
verbally assault members of the already marginalized LGBTQ community I ask the board to remember that there
are many community members that support the efforts of the Stonewall organization. It is unfortunate that some
people want to push their own personal agenda onto others instead of taking the view to Live and let Live. I ask you,
as members to be inclusive and allow diversity to be a part of the work the Board of Supervisors accomplishes.

Subject: county proposed contract with the non-profit group, Stonewall Alliance
Dear Board of Supervisors,
I vehemently oppose the county proposed contract with the non-profit group, Stonewall
Alliance!
I am appalled they are even being considered for this contract given the comportment of
several of their staff at recent CUSD Board meetings; where they literally bullied and verbally
harassed every female speaker who opposed a parental secrecy policy. They called them foul
names and leaned in close to the speakers leaving the podium to ensure their foulness was
heard and that they would be as intimidating as possible. A huge group of Stonewall staff,
volunteers and members jeered, booed, and yelled at speakers they didn’t agree with and made
sure to make the school grounds where the meeting was held unsafe for many, directly in the
presence of minors.
The very people who purport to be the ones creating a safe and loving environment were
horrific bullies and the vast majority of it is all on record if you care to view it. It was so bad
that two people were FINALLY asked to leave.
Even worse, Stonewall Alliance held subversive ‘trainings’ which were hidden from parents
of local schoolchildren and even many teachers. In addition, they have been handing out breast
binders ON campus to minor girls and assisting children UNDER TWELVE with social
gender transitioning without parental knowledge. The policy does NOT allow for these
practices.
The agenda item noted they could serve as the sole source for these services. Why is that a
consideration to the exclusion of others would could serve in this capacity? That doesn’t seem
equitable or inclusive at all.
To think that our county board would provide a group like Stonewall Alliance funding using
OUR taxpayer dollars, while at the same time potentially cutting the Cal Fire contract for
services and maybe even closing a fire station is untenable!
It is bad enough you will likely cut back library hours, but to give money to Stonewall
Alliance and cut fire services — DON’T DO IT! Please!

Dear Board of Supervisors,
I am writing in support of Stonewall Alliance, which provides essential services to the
LGBTQ+ community. As a biology lecturer at Chico State who teaches about sex and
gender, I frequently refer my students to Stonewall for mental health assistance and
other expert resources. So many of them have shared with me that Stonewall has
been life-changing for them in positive ways. Stonewall's dedication to serving our
community and offering a safe space is invaluable. If you were to reduce funding, you
would risk sending a harmful message that the well-being of our LGBTQ+ community
members is not a priority, and that their lives don't matter. I urge you to recognize the
immeasurable value that Stonewall brings to our community and to continue
supporting and funding this organization, affirming our community's commitment to
inclusivity, acceptance, and the well-being of ALL individuals. Stonewall Alliance
saves lives and harms no one.
Thank you for your consideration.

I appreciate you taking a moment to read my comments. I am unable to be present due to work but wanted my
words of support for Stonewall to be heard.
This organization is not only the safe space of non-judgement at critical moments if people’s lives but it is the
educator, guidance & support to the families, friends & loved ones of LGBTQ+ community members as well.
In such decisive times, it’s comforting to know there is a place locally that can support not only adults who don’t
traditionally identify but more importantly, for our kids who have enough struggles without a lack of community
support at a time of questioning & exploration. To be accepted, regardless of identification or sexual preference is a
wonderful thing.

Greetings, I'm reaching out to submit a comment in support of the funding proposed for
agenda item 3.13.
I'm not sure how aware the board of supervisors is to how dire things are getting for the
transgender community across the nation, but transgender individuals rights and lives are
being threatened in legislation. I urge the board to not follow that national trend and seek to
continue the safe haven that Chico has become for the LGBTQ community. I myself would
not have found the community, support, and will to live without Stonewall alliance of Chico
supporting me when I was at my lowest point before I started transitioning. They do very good
kind and nurturing work for people who have been rejected from everyone who is supposed to
accept them.
In tomorrow's board meeting there are going to be many individuals who seek to defund
Stonewall and have very divisive opinions about what transgender people are and how we
should live our lives. One of the main leaders of this group has a transgender child herself who
she outright refuses to acknowledge and I feel is So negatively outspoken toward the LGBTQ
community because of her personal feelings toward her trans child.
Please do not let misinformed and angry individuals remove life-saving support to many of the
LGBTQ individuals in Chico and beyond. Stonewall not only helps individuals in Butte
county, they are also a pivotal source of information and support in their online presence as
well, and to lessen the amount of education and training that can offer for organizations and
businesses' staff would be a great loss for our community. I hope you decide in favor of the
Stonewall alliance of Chico's funding in future.

Dear Supervisors:
My name is Tom Lando. I am a parent, a teacher, and a member of the Chico Unified School
District Board of Trustees.
There has been a lot of discussion at our own meetings lately regarding what Stonewall does
or doesn't do.
The school district views Stonewall as an important ally and service provider within the
community. The services they provide help students discover safe and healthy ways to live
during the most difficult times of their lives. Stonewall provides community, acceptance, and
space to young people when they need it most.
Any move to reduce funding or support for Stonewall will harm our most at-risk students and
community members, and would be a step backwards in terms of inclusion and understanding
for non-'straight' youth.
Stonewall literally saves lives. I urge you to continue to support this important organization
fully, and I regret that the late notice of this topic and existing work commitments will most
likely mean that I am unable to deliver these comments in person.
Sincerely,
Tom M Lando

At a time when mental health is a real concern for a majority of people, organizations like the
Stonewall Alliance Center of Chico need funding. People need resources and need to be seen.
The amount of LGBTQIA people who need help and don't have resources is astronomical.
Queer visibility and support is what will make members of our community feel supported and
ensure that their time on this earth is not cut short. Stonewall is a pillar of the community and
should be recognized as such. Everyone deserves a safe space.

Subject:Please keep our fire stations open year round!
Date:Wednesday, June 7, 2023 5:45:48 PM
Butte County supervisors,
I understand there will be a budget meeting in the next week, and that an item on the agenda is
potentially closing three fire stations during the off season. I am writing to implore you to keep our stations
open.
We live in Yankee Hill. In the past year alone, the Jarbo Gap station crew has shown up within minutes
for a neighbor's escaped controlled burn, an illegal burn pile on a nearby street, and two medical
emergencies in my neighborhood that might have been fatal if not for their proximity, expertise and rapid
response time. All of these events occurred in the "off season". Our community is a good 30 minutes
from Paradise or Oroville, and in an emergency, every minute counts. The controlled burn up the street
from us grew by nearly an acre in the minutes it took the Jarbo Gap crew to reach it, and had climbed into
trees. If we had had to wait for response from Oroville or Paradise, I believe neighbors would have
potentially lost their homes.
A few years ago, my grandmother had a medical emergency. The Jarbo Gap fire crew was first on the
scene by 17 minutes. Those minutes could have been fatal for her if she had had to wait on emergency
services from other towns.
Additionally, with two major insurers now denying new service in California, having a fire station nearby
could mean the difference between our family being able to insure our home, or being priced out of
insurance with the FAIR plan.
Please, keep our stations open year round. With the changing climate in California, fire season is year
round. Emergencies are year round. We pay County taxes, and we need available services. Please
support us in this matter.
Thank you for your consideration,
Amy McFarland

Dear Board of Supervisors,
We are writing as members of the Berry Creek community. We have lived in Berry Creek for almost 20 years. My
husband was a volunteer firefighter up here as well as an active Grange/Guild member. I served on the Berry Creek
Community Association for 9 years.
Over the years there have been efforts to reduce fire services in our community. The Bear Fire devastated us. The
loss of the community as it was is a tragedy.
Now, 2 1/2 years later, the struggle is still real. One thing I didn’t think would ever happen after what we have been
through, is that our local supervisors, who are supposed to be representing our interests, seem to have tossed us to
the curb. We pay taxes and even with fire services, we do a lot without help from the government. But it is beyond
belief that after suffering such a catastrophic loss that you would leave us without year round fire staffing. How are
we supposed to get insurance after that? How are people supposed to rebuild if they can’t get insurance? How is it
legal or moral to leave a vulnerable community unable to recover?
This should be an easy decision to staff the Amador stations full time. Please don’t abandon us.
Sincerely,
Dori and Charles Hamill

Greetings:
Please let the Board of Supervisors know I want the Stirling City, Jarbo Gap, and Berry Creek
fire stations open year-round.
The Butte County citizens living in those areas deserve to have their medical and fire
emergencies responded to in a quick manner. They shouldn't have to wait 15 to 30 minutes or
more for a fire engine to respond if their home catches fire in the winter or someone in their
household overdoses on fentanyl.

To the Butte County Board of Supervisors
The citizens of Butte County living in the Stirling City, Jarbo Gap, and Berry Creekareas deserve to have their fire stations open year-round.
Fire stations act much more than for FIRE. A lot of people forget about the majorityof the calls they get are actually medically related and are usually there before theambulance!
Don't let these citizens down.
Very truly yours

Subject: Firestation closures
To the Board of Supervisors,
I am writing this in the hope of your reconsideration of the closing of the Fire station in my
community, Berry Creek. My husband and I are in our late 60s, and we are very concerned
about not having the full service of the local Fire Station on Berry Creek Rd. which could
result in loss of property and life.
There are many people living up here, like ourselves, that retired and bought property in Berry
Creek because of our love of the mountains, the small community structure, and because it
was affordable for people like us on fixed income. We have watched our home insurance
increase over the past 9 years from affordable to extremely expensive. We are afraid we won't
be able to afford another increase in home insurance, and the closure of our Fire stations will
definitely impact our premiums. We are struggling as it is and we don't understand why
something as important as emergency fire protection and medical assistance is being
threatened in a community with many Bear fire survivors, disabled people, and retirees. There
have to be other options available. While firefighters are getting pay reductions, and people up
here are being charged ridiculous prices for insurance, we feel that county money should be
applied where people's lives depend on it. This should be a priority above anything else. Why
should we not receive the immediate services that people in the city receive?
Please represent the people of my community and supply the services we depend on. We voted
for you and consequently you should listen to our needs. When someone's property burns
down or someone dies because it took too long to respond to a medical emergency, and that
could have been prevented with adequate emergency response teams in our area, then that will
definitely fall on your lack of research and empathy for your voting base. And any good
citizen should be ashamed of that.

Subject: Fire Station Closures
Attention Board of Supervisors
I am writing to you in reference to the Fire Station Closures. I oppose your decision.
The Board of Supervisors has tried to cut Fire Stations since 2017.
You got away with closing our Stations in December and their was no one that was aware that
you would be voting on closing our Fire Stations during this meeting.
Why would you even consider cutting a Public Safety program that you signed and had in the
Budget last year when it came out in June.
The residents of Berry Creek as well as the other Stations need our Fire Stations manned all
year round by Professional Fire Fighters. Volunteers are not obligated to come when there is a
call. The volunteers can not administer oxygen, give an epi pen shot when someone is having
a severe allergic reaction, and other medical emergencies. The average response time was
between 26-27 minutes. Which means that there was calls that had waited a longer time
The communities you cut Fire Stations in deserve the same level of service as their
neighboring towns receive. These communities are already suffering. The Wild Fires have
devastated these communities. They are trying to rebuild and continue with their lives in Butte
County. These communities are primarily made up of elderly people and disabled people.
My residence is disabled. If something should happen we need a quick response as my partner
has stroke issues and time is of the essence.
The only main provider to issue insurance has been State Farm who has recently pulled out of
writing new policies. By closing our Fire Stations you are increasing our Fire Assessment Risk
and most insurance companies can not issue a policy that is reasonably priced if at all.
Berry Creek was and still is designated as a disadvantaged community. How do you expect
people to rebuild when they can't obtain reasonable priced policies that their lender approves
of.
Have you even tried to obtain funding from grants that are available to help fund a fire
department?
Have you even listened to suggestions that were given to you in 2017 and again in 2018 and
most recently now. I have read and listened to the previous Board Meetings and I have not
seen or heard that you have attempted to do anything before making these decisions.
The Board of Supervisors should be transparent in all of their actions. We should not be
deceived by our Elected Board of Supervisors by placing such a critical issue under the
Library.
Please get it together and represent your Districts as you should be. Our interests should be
represented by you, our Supervisor. If you can't represent our best interests maybe it's time to
get someone who will. Remember you are an elected Public Servant.
Sincerely yours,
Tara Pash
