One-Way Traffic Control Scheduled on State Route 162 at
Butte City Bridge
Daytime Maintenance Work Planned Thursday and Friday
GLENN COUNTY – Caltrans is alerting motorists of one-way traffic control scheduled
along State Route 162 (SR 162) at the Butte City Bridge over the Sacramento River this
week.
· Dates: Thursday and Friday, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Crews will repair the asphalt due to a diesel spill that occurred earlier this year, which will
require traffic to be reduced to one lane across the bridge. Flaggers will be stationed on
both ends of the bridge, and motorists should plan for 15-minute delays.
The schedule is subject to change or be delayed due to weather, availability of materials
or other unexpected events.
Caltrans District 3 is responsible for maintaining and operating 4,385 lane miles in 11
Sacramento Valley and Northern Sierra counties. Caltrans reminds motorists to “Be Work
Zone Alert” and slow in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews
performing these improvements.
