Our programs are designed to provide practical insights, connect leaders across counties, and create a space for innovation in governance and leadership. In this week’s update, we spotlight the kickoff of our first CSAC Institute Campus in Stanislaus County, we share the wrap-up of our 2024-2025 Technology Executive Credential Program, and we spotlight our upcoming course on Optimism and Gratitude. As always, thank you for your commitment to professional growth and leadership excellence. The work you do every day matters deeply to the communities you serve, and the Institute is proud to support you on that journey. Institute Impact: Marcy Porus Gottlieb Kicks off Stanislaus County Institute Campus! We are excited to have partnered with Stanislaus County on the successful launch of their first CSAC Institute Campus program. The program kicked off with a dynamic session led by Marcy Porus Gottlieb, who presented Leading Change: Navigating Transformation in the Public Sector to a class of forty county leaders. This course is the first of ten offerings scheduled over the next ten months, designed to equip participants with practical tools and strategies for effective leadership. Upon completion of the full program, graduates will be awarded the CSAC Executive Credential - a recognition of their commitment to professional growth and excellence in county leadership. We wish all participants continued success on their professional development journey and look forward to celebrating their achievements in the months ahead. Register Here Technology Executive Cohort Concludes Program with Culture Course On September 11, 2025, the 2024–2025 Technology Executive Cohort concluded its program with the course Navigating Organizational Culture. The session was led by Noam Shendar, Chief Information Officer for Inyo County, and focused on helping participants identify organizational behaviors, understand cultural dynamics, and address the “ABCs of IT” to ensure success in technology implementation. Looking ahead, the next Technology Executive Cohort will launch on October 23, 2025, in partnership with the California County Information Services Directors Association (CCISDA). Other Reminders and Updates 2025 CSAC Challenge Awards: The CSAC Challenge Awards honor the best of county government— programs that demonstrate creative thinking, strong results, and meaningful community impact. We encourage county staff across all departments to consider submitting innovative programs for statewide recognition the deadline to submit has been extended through September 26.
