Please exercise judgment before opening attachments, clicking on links, or replying.. Even within the constraints of the Honey Fire Sub Fund, vegetation removal at these significantly above market rates is not the best use of public dollars. The most cost-efficient task, preventing wood-burning appliances from starting vegetation fires, is the task this vendor does not perform. Tall dead trees are legitimately hazardous vegetation, which once abated are no longer hazards. Tall dead grass is frankly not and will just replace itself, making the expenditure futile. I would send this back out for more bids and rethink the risk:spend efficiency of this endeavor. Inspections and education to elicit voluntary compliance should generate greater benefit from these finite funds. John Stonebraker Magalia, CA
