I've noted "corrections needed" at two locations. Heartstone, Eshlinger Home, ROP -Durham, and SOAR all met their requirements for a reasonable degree of fire and life safety. Four Winds School—all fire extinguishers due for service this month, U' Room 1 had the west exit doors blocked with furniture, Room 4 had two surge protectors "piggy -backed" (each must plug into individual wall receptacles), and upstairs you may switch the large fire extinguisher to a smaller, lighter 2A:10BC extinguisher. Instructional Resource Center—a storage room with "CRC" materials inside Alk eeds a protective plate on the light switch, and the door was held open with a out-of-date Halon fire extinguisher; in the copy room re -mount the electrical raceway on wall over the rear counter. In the outdoor HVAC area move the cardboard boxes at least 36" away from the air compressor and place a "Not an Exit" sign on the door leading from the interior to this area. Place a cover on the electrical wiring raceway (exposed wiring) .just inside,. the door to the CDL room on the right side. Also, in the IRC all storage on top of cabinets should be reduced to 24" below the ceiling. Finally, every electric circuit breaker panel in the IRC was clearly marked with a `Keep All Materials Clear of Panels at least 36 inches;" yet nearly every panel was blocked with boxes, carts, and books. Please ensure that the staff will keep the panels clear 36 " to the front and 6-1/2 feet top to bottom. Please call if you have any questions, 538-3859. CC: Kirby ate File Sincerely, William R.
