12th Part 12D Inspection – Periodic Inspection Report

Dear Frank L. Blackett:
This letter presents the periodic inspection (PI) report for the 12th Part 12D safety inspection for
Bucks Storage Dam, which is part of Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) Bucks Creek
Hydroelectric Project, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) No. 619. The report was
prepared in accordance with Title 18 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Section 12.36.
FERC authorized the inspection plan and independent consultant (IC) team for this dam in a letter
to PG&E dated January 13, 2025. PG&E provided the PI pre-inspection preparation report to
FERC in a letter dated May 13, 2025.
The PI report is enclosed with this letter for FERC review (Enclosure 1). In accordance with
Title 18 of the CFR, Section 12.41, PG&E will prepare plans and schedules for addressing IC
recommendations. PG&E will submit the plans and schedules to FERC by January 1, 2026.
